Bones are one of the materials in Palworld that you can obtain after defeating certain Pals and are required for a few of the items that you may need to craft.
Obtaining this material mainly requires that you target Pals from a certain list since not every target that you hunt down drops this when defeated.
This material is usually high in demand for those who have certain structures that need Cement as well as for making medicinal items for your Pals.
How To Get Bones?
While many types of Pals can be defeated for materials, only a few of them tend to be good sources of bone.
During the earlier stages of the game, you can easily target Vixy and Rushoar as these Pals are encountered often and are easy to take down.
Pals such as Cagwnito, Loupmoon, Vanwyrm, Bushi, Verdash, and others may be found later and defeated to get Bones. (You can see which Pals drop them by checking your Paldeck too)

Best Places To Farm Bones
The following areas shown in the map above are great spots for you to defeat Pals to get Bone and other drops from them.
Most of these have lower level Pals, which should allow you to easily roam and defeat them to quickly get a good amount of the material.
Using a flying Pal would be a great idea since you have a better view of the area and may easily get around the map.
Bone Uses
Bone is one of the main ingredients needed to craft Cement, which is used to craft various structures and even items that become available after you have progressed.
It is also used for the Mega Glider, which is an upgraded version of the Normal Parachute that allows you to soar through the air and stop a dangerous fall to the ground.

Verdict
It seems that mostly Pals that have a resemblance to animals and some humanoid creatures seem to be what drop Bone when defeated.
Having a good supply of this material is necessary for later on when you need to build more of the advanced structure and craft items since it is used for Cement.
There are some Pals that drop several items that are useful for progression such as the Rushoar, which makes them better targets to seek out for farming Bone.
