Palworld: How to Get Honey & Its Uses

Honey is one of the more valuable natural resources you’ll collect from certain Pals throughout your journey across Palpagos Island.

Unlike common materials gathered from trees or rocks, obtaining Honey requires finding specific Pals that either drop it or can produce it at your base.

Whether you’re crafting important recipes or preparing for future progression, keeping a steady supply of Honey is always a worthwhile investment.

How To Get Honey?

1) Defeating Pals

Hunting Grass Pals to drop honey

Honey can be obtained in two ways, which is either by hunting insect-like Grass Pals to defeat or by capturing to get the ingredient as a drop from them.

Most of these Pals include Cinnamoth as one of the easiest sources while Beegarde and Elizabee can be encountered near each other and can also be hunted.

A stronger insect-like Pal known as Warsect provides a larger amount of Honey dropped but is more difficult to defeat than the others.

2) Assigning Cinnamoth To A Ranch

Capturing Beegarde Pals to farm Honey

The best way to get Honey is to capture Beegarde Pals as these have the Farming Skill, which means they can be assigned to a Ranch.

Once a Beegarde is assigned to a Ranch, it will often drop Honey instead of the other items that you may have gotten used to with other Farming Pals.

Having 1 or 2 Beegarde at a Ranch will provide you with enough Honey for whatever you need now and then, especially when you need to make Cake.

Pals That Drop Honey

  • Beegarde (1-2)
  • Cinnamoth (1)
  • Elizabee (5)
  • Warsect (3-4)

Beegarde can often be found around the Verdant Brook region, which is located north of the Gobfin’s Turf waypoint and runs around the Frozenbound Mountains.

Going around the whole island will give you a huge opportunity to come across not only Beegarde but also Elizabee if you intend to farm a lot of Honey.

It is still best to go around and capture Beegarde so you can just keep them at a Ranch for an unlimited supply of Honey.

Honey Uses

Honey can be consumed to restore 10 Nutrition and 3 Sanity, making it a useful food for keeping your Pals fed while slightly recovering their SAN.

Its most important use, however, is as a key ingredient for crafting the various cakes used for Pal breeding, making it one of the most valuable farming resources in the game.

Whether you’re preparing breeding food for different Pals or stocking up for future breeding projects, you’ll need a steady supply of Honey to keep production going.

Keeping a few Beegarde assigned to a Ranch is the easiest way to ensure you always have enough Honey whenever it’s time to bake another batch of cakes.

Verdict

Honey becomes one of the most important farming materials once you begin breeding Pals, as every breeding cake recipe depends on it.

Keeping a few Beegarde assigned to a Ranch provides a reliable supply without forcing you to hunt for Honey whenever you need another batch.

If breeding is part of your long term progression, setting up automated Honey production early will save a considerable amount of time later on.
