Ancient Civilization Parts are one of the Rare Materials that you can find in Palworld which hold the potential to provide you with better technology.
Unlike most resources that can be found out in the open, Ancient Civilization Parts require you to explore more or defeat tougher enemies.
This material is the key to crafting some of the better items in the game and only by getting your hands on them will you be able to progress better in the game.
How To Get Ancient Civilization Parts?
1) Defeating Alpha Bosses
Ancient Civilization Parts can be obtained as drops from certain enemies that you will encounter throughout the game, which include Alpha Pals.
One of the best ways to obtain this material is by hunting down the Alpha Pals that can be found all over the map. (These can be defeated or captured to get Ancient Civilization Parts)
These are known to be the stronger variants of Pals that can be found in specific locations, which will later be marked on your map as you explore. (They respawn after 1 hour from being defeated)
2) Defeating Dungeon Bosses
Entering dungeons (also known as caves) will allow you to explore and find loot and once you reach the end of these, you will encounter a Dungeon Boss.
Dungeon Bosses will often be a random Pal depending on the type of dungeon, which you may fight before heading to the exit room for loot and to exit through a portal.
Among the many items that can be dropped by Dungeon Boss, Ancient Civilization Parts will be one of the common rewards you can get.
3) Lucky Pals
Lucky Pals (Also known as Shiny Pals) can sometimes be found out in the wild and these are stronger than regular Pals that can be defeated or captured.
Capturing or defeating these Pals will provide you with loot from their drop tables with the addition of Ancient Civilization Parts.
If you have captured an Alpha Pal and do not need it, you can always Butcher it with a Meat Cleaver to get the loot that it drops when defeated. (Capture and Butcher provides you with the loot twice)
4) Opening Rare Chests
There are several types of chests that you may come across as you are exploring Palpagos Island and the rarest ones will often have good loot.
Amongst the loot in the rare chests, you will have a good chance to obtain Ancient Civilization Parts when you open them.
This is not always guaranteed since the chests that you open will have a random set of loot based on its drop table.
Ancient Civilization Parts Uses
Ancient Civilization Parts are required to craft some of the more advanced equipment that you will be using or structures that you need to build.
One of its main uses is for crafting shields, which includes the Mega Shield, Giga Shield, and Hyper Shield as these provide you with extra protection.
Schematics can sometimes be found as loot and these allow you to craft equipment with better stats but they will need Ancient Civilization Parts before you can make them.
Verdict
While Ancient Civilization Parts are mainly used for crafting shields, you will find that it is more useful when you have obtained different schematics.
Some schematics can require up to 10 or more Ancient civilization Parts, which makes it important to have a stock of this material for later.
While there are other methods of obtaining Ancient Civilization Parts, it’s best to farm World Bosses as this guarantees you will get the materials.
