Yakumo is a versatile Neutral Pal that has access to powerful Neutral and Ground attacks that give it an advantage in battle.
While valued for its strong attacks regardless of its size, players end up seeking this Pal when it comes to the late game.
This is because Yakumo can help players obtain Pals with specific Passive Skills that can later be important when it comes to breeding.
Yakumo Location
Yakumo can be found on Sakurajima Island since this Pal was released alongside the new location and resides around the center.
You will be able to find Yakumo wandering around the Dancing Sakura Shrine but you should be careful, they are aggressive and will attack you on sight.
Yakumo Breeding Combinations
Yakumo is only found on Sakurajima, which makes it difficult to capture the Pal unless you are around level 40 to 50 when you reach the island.
There is however an alternative to capturing Yakumo and this is breeding, which is doable with several Pal combinations.
The following are some of the combinations that will get you Yakumo:
- Anubis + Bristla
- Incineram + Swee
- Incineram Noct + Ribbuny
- Mau + Sweepa
- Mau Cryst + Sibelyx
- Rushoar + Foxcicle
- Lifmunk + Wumpo
- Tocotoco + Surfent Terra
- Tocotoco + Sootseer
- Eikthyrdeer Terra + Verdash
- Digtoise + Gorirat
- Galeclaw + Broncherry
- Direhowl + Kitsun
- Gorirat Terra + Broncherry

Yakumo Uses
Yakumo may be small in size but this Neutral Pal can pack a punch once it has gained more levels and has learned new Active Skills.
One of the best things about Yakumo is that it also learns Ground Attacks aside from those learned from Neutral Pals, making it effective against Electric Pals.
Players will often use Yakumo when capturing Pals to replicate Pals current Passive Skills, which can later be useful when breeding.
Partner Skill
Yakumo’s Partner Skill is called Birds of a Feather, which allows Yakumo to be ridden and this looks very cute as this Pal is smaller than most rideable Pals.
Birds of a Feather makes it easier for you to encounter Pals that have the same Passive Skills that Yakumo has.
This gives you a better chance to get the Pals you need when you are trying to breed and combine several Passive Skills, making it easy for you to get a collection of useful Pals.
Work Suitability
Aside from fighting off enemies, Yakumo will only help out by gathering from plantations when it has been assigned to a base.
- Gathering (Level 2)
Possible Drops
Yakumo Drops
- Leather (100%)
Alpha Yakumo Drops
- Ancient Civilization Parts (100%)
- Leather (100%
- Precious Pelt (100%)
- Ring of Resistance (5%)
Verdict
Yakumo is a very aggressive Pal despite its small size and cute appearance, which is due to its instincts that make it hate humans. (Including Pals that serve them)
When wandering Sakujiro, you may sometimes be ambushed by high-level Yakumo, which can use the Holy Burst Active Skill, capable of one-shotting lower players.
Keeping multiple Yakumo that have different Passive Skills is a great way to prepare for hunting specific Pals that have your wanted Passive Skills.
