Wumpo Botan is a Grass Pal and a variant of Wumpo, which has Grass Attacks instead of the Ice Active Skills that its original variant has.

Wumpo Botan has a Field Boss Variant that spawns at (449, -52) around the northern part of Eastern Wild Island.
This Grass Pal may also spawn at No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary but venturing there would likely put you at risk of increasing your crime level.

Another way to get this Grass Pal would be to breed it, which can be done by combining a Wumpo and a Mammorest at Breeding Farm.

With its many Grass Attacks, Wumpo Botan has a chance to entangle enemies, making them easier targets in a fight.

Wumpo Botan has the Guardian of the Grassy Fields Partner Skill, which allows you to ride it once you have crafted its saddle.
You may craft the Wumpo Botan Saddle at a Pal Workbench once you have unlocked it in the Technology Menu and will need to keep it in your Key Items inventory.
Aside from being able to use Wumpo Botan as a mount, having its saddle will provide you with an increase in your carrying capacity if the Pal is in your party.
