After you have saved the Tieflings in Act I, they set off to Baldur’s Gate and are nowhere to be found until you reach the Shadow-Cursed Lands in Act II.
You later discover that the Tieflings were attacked, and some may have even said that Zevlor was to blame, and he has gone missing.
The search for Zevlor now takes place at Moonrise Towers but within the large stone fortress, he is nowhere to be found until you dig a little deeper.
Where To Find Zevlor?
Your search for Zevlor in the Shadow-Cursed Lands and Moonrise Towers seems to be unsuccessful and this is because he is deeper within the towers.
Zevlor has been taken prisoner and is being held captive in the Tadpoling Centre, which is where several people have been taken prisoner and infected with Mind Flayer Parasites.
You will only be able to find Zevlor here after the first fight that you have had with Ketheric Thorm, which leads you to follow him into the Mind Flayer Colony.
How To Free Zevlor?
Once you reach the Tadpoling Centre, you will find Zevlor and several others being held captive in pods and may interact with the nearby Neural Apparatus to release him.
This however releases all the other prisoners, which includes Gauntlet Yeva and Manip Shuurga and multiple Mind Flayers.
After releasing Zevlor, you will have to fight the Mind Flayers with the help of the others who have been released and may talk to Zevlor afterward.
Defeating The Mind Flayers
The Mind Flayers are quite strong and there will be 4 of them for you to deal with but focusing on one at a time can be a quick way to defeat them.
Before releasing the prisoners from their pods, it is essential to do a Short Rest to heal up and restock some of your spell slots.
Summoning any available familiars to help you can be done in advance to ensure you can make use of their turns efficiently at the start of the fight.
Verdict
While Zevlor has already made his mistakes, it seems that the Tieflings will no longer welcome him back and this sets him on his path.
This will not be the last time you encounter Zevlor though as his survival ensures he will appear later when you need him most.
Thanks to you, Zevlor and the other captives have been saved and you will need to continue your path as he begins a new one on his own.
