Movement in Turn-Based Mode is like how this feature works in a fight, allowing you to move a certain distance and perform limited actions.
Each character that you control will be able to perform actions and may move until their turn is up, which sometimes needs to be planned out carefully.
Once your characters have moved or done the actions you need them to do, you can allow the environment to move or may exit Turn-Based Mode.
Environmental Turn
The Environmental Turn in Turn-Based Mode is how the world around you reacts or normally moves, which may be activated once your characters are done moving.
After using up your turns in Turn-Based Mode, you may proceed with allowing the environment to act before using the members of your party.
To skip waiting for the Environmental Turn, you can always turn off Turn-Based Mode and continue from there. (Turn-Based Mode may be used after a short cooldown)
Turn-Based Mode Cooldown
Back then during the earlier patches of Baldur’s Gate 3, Turn-Based Mode did not have a cooldown, and this led to abuse that made the game too easy.
A cooldown has been applied to Turn-Based Mode, which requires you to wait for about 6 seconds before you can turn it back on.
