Sootseer (Location, Breeding Combinations, Drops, Uses & Partner Skill)

Sootseer is a Dark and Fire Pal that has a resemblance to a bone-themed ghost with purple frames coming out of its cauldron-like hands.

This Pal is capable of learning Dark and Fire Active Skills, making it useful against Fire and Grass Pals due to the extra damage it can cause.

For those who have trouble farming Bone, this Pal has a way for you to easily get the material so you don’t have to go out hunting Pals to stock up on it.

Sootseer can be a companion that you bring with you as you explore and fight enemies on Palpagos Island or you can assign it to work at your base.

When fighting alongside you, Sootseer can make use of both Dark and Fire Attacks, which it learns more of as it levels up.

If you decide to keep Sootseer at your base, this Pal has several Work Skills that it can make use of and may even provide you with an unlimited supply of Bone.

Partner Skill

Sootseer’s Partner Skill is called Grave Robber, which allows you to assign this Pal to a ranch to produce Bone for you to collect.

If you have Pals that have the Transporting Work Skill, this will allow them to collect the Bone that Sootseer digs up.

Sootseer will need to be placed into a Ranch if you want it to stick there, otherwise it will do other tasks when it can and go back often to the Ranch to continue digging up Bones.

Work Suitability

Sootseer has a lot of Work Skills that make it a valuable asset at any base, which includes a high level of Kindling and other necessary skills.

  • Kindling (Level 3)
  • Handiwork (Level 2)

Verdict

Having Sootseer with you in a battle can be a good way to deal different types of damage but this Pal is often kept in a base to get a good stock of Bones.

Capturing Sootseer can easily be done once you get to Sakurajima as you simply need to wait for nightfall for it to spawn.

If you prefer to have a fast-growing supply of Bone during the earlier parts of the game where you have not yet visited Sakurajima, it will be an idea to resort to breeding to get this Pal.
