Rainforest’s Home is one of the locations in the Lower City where you may end up exploring as a part of the Find Dribbles The Clown and Investigate The Murders Quests.
This home belongs to Alexander Rainforest, who has been doing some investigations involving Candulhallow’s Tombstones before he was killed.
Heading to Rainforest’s Home will not only allow you to find one of Dribble the Clown’s severed body parts but you will also learn more about Rainforest’s investigation.
Rainforest’s Home Location
You may find Rainforest’s Home to the south of the Lower Central Wall as it is located opposite the docks, but the front door is locked.
Be careful if you wish to pick the lock as there are patrols that may pass by, and this may get you in trouble. (You may head around the back instead and enter from the door that isn’t locked)
Behind Rainforest’s Home is a door on the first and second floor, giving you different ways to enter and if your other party cannot follow, you pick the lock on the front door from inside.
What is Inside Rainforest’s Home?
First Floor
The first floor doesn’t have much going on, but you may loot a few things to sell for a bit of extra Gold before moving on to the other floors.
There will be a rat named Ratin Sesescor that you may speak with if you have Speak with Animals active (Spell or Scroll) who reveals Alexander Rainforest was killed.
Second Floor
If you head to the second floor, there won’t be much either, but you will find Alexander Rainforest dead on the floor, and he can be spoken to. (Speak with Dead spell)
Rainforest can be spoken to and may reveal that the short murderer in red (Dolor) had killed him and that he had been investigating Candulhallow’s Tombstones.
Basement
Heading to the basement will allow you to loot the Clown’s Severed Foot from the body of a blue Dragonborn named Winslow Reginol.
You may further explore the area to grab loot as the room on the right will lead you to what appears to be Rainforest’s Study and there will be a secret entrance.
Going past the stone wall will allow you to loot a chest at the end and a key that opens the Strongbox in the other room. (Despite its name being Rainforest’s Chest Key)
The area will be full of traps, so be sure to be cautious and prepare to disarm any before you start rushing into certain parts of the basement.

Verdict
It seems that for some reason, Alexander Rainforest was also a target of the Murder Tribunal, and this led to the end of his investigation but you might be able to look into this.
Part of the Investigate The Murders quest involves finding the dead body of Alexander Rainforest and looting Winslow Reginol will allow you to progress with Find Dribbles The Clown.
Rainforest kept notes on his investigation, and these are connected to the Murder Tribunal and will help you find the location of their hideout.
