Tombat (Location, Drops, Uses, Work & Partner Skill)

Tombat is one of the first Dark Pals that players encounter in the game and this is usually during the night if any exploring has been done.

This Dark Pal appears as a cat-like being that uses dark magic to attack its victims and can be a real nuisance during any night exploration.

Capturing a Tombat on the other hand can be a huge bonus to your base and party as they can be quite useful in different ways.

Tombat Uses

Tombat starts with Air Cannon and other Dark Active Skills but eventually will learn stronger Dark Attacks as it levels up.

This makes it a powerful ally to have in battle as its damage is way above its defense, making it a sort of glass cannon in a fight.

Not only is Tombat useful in a base and during a fight, but it also can locate nearby Pals with its Partner Skill.

Partner Skill

Tombat can make use of its Ultrasonic Sensor Partner Skill, which causes it to release a radar-like wave that is meant to detect nearby Pals.

While this does not seem to do much, it is intended to help players locate Pals within a certain radius of Tombat.

Since Tombat can utilize this to find Pals, it can be a big help if you are trying to capture or farm Pals in certain areas.

Work Suitability

Tombat is good at mining Ore and other materials during the earlier stages of the game and may also transport the items if it is not gathering from a Plantation.

Verdict

With Tombat included in your party, you have access to a Pal that can dish out a good amount of damage and locate Pals during the earlier parts of the game.

Eventually, Tombat may replace other Pals that can mine Ore and other materials until you find a Pal that is capable of doing it better.

It is best to be careful when fighting multiple Tombat’s out in the open as they can easily gang up on lower level players who are not ready for them.
