Pure Quartz is a material that players seek out once they have unlocked more technology as they progress through the game.
This material is mainly used to create Circuit Boards, which are a requirement in crafting items and structures that require electricity.
While this material is greatly needed, players will only be able to find it in a more distant area from where they first begin.
How To Get Pure Quartz?
1) Mining Pure Quartz Nodes
Pure Quartz is obtained by mining Pure Quartz Nodes, which appear as rock formations with crystal-like minerals coming out of them that are often found in snowy areas.
Mining these nodes is best done with a Refined Metal Pickaxe as it tends to do more damage to stones, metal, and other nodes. (Some Pals and Passive Skills increase the efficiency of mining)
Farming Pure Quartz can be done around the Astral Mountains and the Frostbound Mountains, which are some of the coldest areas on the map. (Pure Quartz is found on and near snowy areas)
Another way for you to obtain Pure Quartz is to defeat Pals such as Astegon, Frostallion Noct, and Jetragon as they tend to drop this material.
2) Defeating Pals
There are a few Pals that may be defeated to obtain Pure Quartz but these are mainly tougher or rarer enemies that you will often encounter in some of the more difficult areas.
Defeating Astegon, Frostallion Noct, and Jetragon have a guaranteed chance that you will obtain Pure Quartz as loot.
However, hunting down these Pals for Pure Quartz is not as efficient as heading to the locations where Pure Quartz can be mined instead, something to keep in mind.

Best Places To Farm Pure Quartz
A lot of Pure Quartz spawns around the Astral Mountains and you can find a node or two almost anywhere as you are exploring the area.
There are however a few locations with a lot of nodes together, which have been marked on the map above and these can be great places to set up a farming base.
It is wise to wear armor that provides you with resistance to cold as you may freeze to death if you are wearing the wrong type of armor. (Bringing a Fire Pal can be a big help too)
Pure Quartz Uses in Palworld
Pure Quartz is used to craft Circuit Boards, which is a material that is used for making the more advanced structures you will need in the game.
Each Circuit Board will require 4 Pure Quartz and 2 Polymer to craft, which makes it necessary to farm a lot of Pure Quartz and High Quality Pal Oil to make Polymer.
Crafting Circuit Board can be done once you have unlocked it in your Technology Menu, which is possible once you reach Level 35.
Verdict
Pure Quartz are not often available to those who have just started out but with a little exploration, they can often be found first in the Frostbound Mountains.
The Astral Mountains may have Pals and enemies that are difficult to defeat but you can always avoid them if you are trying to farm Pure Quartz early.
To efficiently gather Pure Quartz quickly, you will either have to have extra weight or set up a base for Pals to mine Pure Quartz and store it on their own.
