Palworld Meteorite Event (How to Find, Pals & Collecting Meteorite Fragments)

The Sakurajima Update introduced new events to Palworld and one of these is the Meteorite Event, which is when a meteorite crashes into Palpagos Island.

These meteorites will allow you to collect a new resource called Meteorite Fragments, which are used for crafting some of the new items that came along with the Sakurajima Update.

These events can happen at any time, which makes it important to keep an eye out for when you can get Meteorite Fragments and even catch new Pals.

How To Find Meteorite Events?

Meteorite descent in progress

Meteorite Events happen just like any other event and there will always be an alert when one is about to descend from the sky.

A marker will appear on your radar and on your map that shows the location of where the meteorite will land or has already landed.

Meteorite Events will always happen near you, which means the type and level of Pals that spawn with the meteorite depend on where you currently are.

Meteorite Event Pals

Once a meteorite lands, hostile Pals will spawn around it, giving you the chance to defeat or capture them.

There are 3 different Pals that may spawn, which are Xenovader, Selyne, and Xenogard, which have different conditions.

Xenovader often spawns anywhere on the map while Selyn usually spawns when meteorites land on Sakurajima.

Xenogard is a stronger Pal and has a chance to spawn in higher-level regions such as the Dessicated Dessert and Frostbound Mountains.

Collecting Meteorite Fragments

Collecting Meteorite Fragments from the Palpagos Island where the Meteorite crashed

Meteorites will often have Meteorite Fragments near the area where they land and can also be destroyed to obtain more.

The best tool to use for mining Meteorite Fragments from a meteorite would be a Refined Metal Pickaxe as these do more damage to ore.

Meteorite Fragments can later be used for the following:

  • Meteor Launcher
  • Meteorite Bullet
  • Selyne Saddle
  • Xenogard Saddle

Do Meteorites Disappear?

Meteorites that land on Palworld seem to remain indefinitely, which allows you to come back to them if you are busy with something else.

As per the Pals that spawn, you won’t have to worry about sneaking back to grab the Meteorite Fragments if you cannot defeat them since they will despawn eventually.

This allows you to come back to Meteorites and other events by quickly traveling somewhere else and coming back to avoid confrontations.

Verdict

Meteorite Events are a great addition to the game and should often be headed to if you want to get Meteorite Fragments from the Meteorites.

Gathering Meteorite Fragments is essential for stocking up on ammunition for the Meteor Launcher, which can be an essential weapon during the earlier parts of the game.

Meteorites will often drop in the same locations and building a main base in spots near one or two drops can guarantee a good supply of Meteorite Fragments from time to time.
