Traveling in the deserts of Palpagos Island can end up with you facing tough enemies, which include a scorpion-like Field Boss called Menasting, the Unstoppable Stinger.
The Unstoppable Stinger is a Dark and Ground Pal and a larger variant of the Menasting that can be found in one of the sanctuaries.
This Field Boss is very aggressive and will continuously attack you with both Dark and Ground attacks until one of you is defeated.
Menasting Location
Menasting, Unstoppable Stinger can be found in the Dessicated Mineshaft, which is a cave (not a dungeon) that is located around the Dessicated Desert.
The coordinates for the Dessicated Mineshaft where Menasting spawns are at (516, 103) and the entrance to the cave can be found at (491, 79) near the spawn area.
Fighting Menasting, Unstoppable Stinger
Menasting can be seen looking around the Dessicated Mineshaft but won’t notice you until you go in front of it, which causes it to become aggressive.
The most common Active Skills that it will use are Sand Blast (Ground) and Poison Blast (Dark), which it combines with its other attacks.
Its Ground Attacks also include Rock Lance, which causes a rock spear to erupt from the ground as well as Stone Cannon, which allows it to hurl a boulder at you.
Keep your distance when it attempts to close in on you as this is when it will attempt to hit you with Shadow Burst, which discharges Dark energy in an area around it.
One of the deadliest attacks it has is Nightmare Ball, which launches a huge ball of Dark energy to deal massive damage.
Dragon and Grass attacks can do extra damage to Menasting as it is weak against these elements and if you are aiming to do critical damage, you can aim at the metal plate on its head.
Menasting (Field Boss) Drops
Facing Menasting in the Dessicated Mineshaft can result in you defeating or capturing it, which will end up with you obtaining the following materials:
- Ancient Civilization Parts
- Coal
- Venom Gland
- Precious Claw

Menasting can be a terrifying Field Boss to go against due to its high level and powerful attacks, especially if it unleashes Nightmare Ball.
It is best to avoid getting too close to this Field Boss as this will allow it to land more since you won’t have that much space to dodge.
This field boss is often sought out by players who want to capture it since it can deal a lot of damage or may be assigned to a base to farm either Stone or Wood.
