Palworld Melpaca (Location, Drops, Uses, Work & Partner Skill)

Melpaca is a Neutral Pal, which has the appearance of an alpaca and is often encountered during the early to mid parts of the game.

This Neutral Pal can be useful at a base or in your party as a fighter as well as a mount that can help you explore the island.

Melpaca is one of the Pals in the game that can provide players with Wool, which is a material used for crafting Cloth and more.

Melpaca Pal

Melpaca Location

  • Forgotten Island
  • Windswept Hills
  • Sea Breeze Archipelago
  • Marsh Island
  • Bamboo Groves

Melpaca Uses

Melpaca can be a useful Neutral Pal if you are just starting your adventure on Palpagos Island and can be a good way to chase down other Pals.

Since this Neutral Pal may be ridden as a mount, you can easily get across the land and may even fire weapons while riding it. (Requires Melpaca’s Saddle)

Aside from being a member of your party, you can add Melpaca to your base where it can work at a Ranch to produce Wool.

Partner Skill

Melpaca’s Partner Skill is called Berry Picker, which allows this Grass Pal to produce Red Berries over time that may be collected.

This can be a lesser substitute for a Berry Plantation as the rate at which the Red Berries are produced can help supply your base with food.

Players can assign Melpaca by tossing it at a Ranch, which will make it stick to working at the structure instead of going off to plant seeds in Plantations.

Work Suitability

The only use for Melpaca at a base is to provide Wool at a Ranch but it can also help out with defenses if enemies attempt to raid you.

  • Farming (Level 1)

Possible Drops

Melpaca Drops

  • Wool
  • Leather

Alpha Melpaca Drops

  • Ancient Civilization Parts
  • Wool
  • Leather
  • Precious Pelt
  • Ring of Resistance +1

Verdict

Melpaca can be a temporary pal that you can make use of until you find a stronger one to replace it during the earlier parts of the game.

Since you can ride Melpaca, this can be a great way to quickly move around not only when exploring but also when fighting enemies if you plan on shooting them with ranged weapons.

Melpaca can often be left at a base and will work at the nearest Ranch and if you have Pals that have the Transporting Work Suitability Skill, they can collect and store the materials.
