Kitsun is a Fire Pal that you may encounter during the night that has a useful benefit to those who have managed to capture it.
This Pal mainly deals with Fire Damage but also knows a Dark Active Skill for those who may find use for it in battle.
Mainly used as a way to keep your temperature in check, Kitsun is more of a travel buddy rather than a worker but can still fight enemies that get in your way.
Kitsun Location
Kitsun may be found around the Frostbound Mountains during the night and will not appear as much or at all during the day in this area.
Aside from being found in the Frostbound Mountains, Kitsun may also be obtained through breeding.
How To Breed Kitsun?
To breed yourself a Kitsun, you will need to place an Arsox and a Broncherry in a Breeding Farm that you have built in your base.
Kitsun Uses
Kitsun is best used as a travel companion as this Pal can unleash Fire Attack upon your enemies, which can end up burning them.
This Pal can be ridden around Palpagos Island, which not only gives you a boost in speed but you can also use its Active Skills.
You may keep a Kitsun in your base to provide certain structures with fire and while it focuses on this, it will also be able to defend your base whenever there is a raid.
Partner Skill
Kitsun’s Partner Skill is called Clear Mind, which initially allows you to ride the Pal once a Kitsun Saddle has been crafted.
When the Kitsun Saddle is in your inventory, you will be able to ride Kitsun, giving you full control over what it does.
Because of the Clear Mind Partner Skill, you will be unaffected by the cold or heat while you are riding Kitsun.

Kitsun has a lot of Fire Attacks that can make it easy for you to take out both Grass and Ice Pals that you encounter.
Sometimes it is better to just breed Kitsun if you are having trouble heading to its location and surviving the cold weather.
Kitsun is one of the keys to making Shadowbeak, which requires that you breed the Pal with Astegon at a Breeding Farm.
