Exploring one of the lakes on Palpagos Island will allow you to encounter Jormuntide, known as the Emperor of the Sea.
Jormuntide is a Level 45 Dragon and Water Pal that you may encounter around Verdant Brook, who can be found swimming in a nearby lake.
Known to be a legendary Pal, this water dragon is capable of unleashing havoc upon those who are unlucky enough to cross paths with it.
Jormuntide Location
Jormuntide, the Emperor of the Sea is often seen around the lake at Verdant Brook, where its spawn point at (-175, -268) can be found.
This field boss will often be seen roaming around the water near a small part of the land that can be stood on while fighting Jormuntide.
Fighting Jormuntide, Emperor of the Sea
Jormuntide will often be swimming in the water and this gives you two approaches when fighting it, which are to lure it to land or use a flying Pal to fight it.
This Field Boss will come at you with Water, Electric, and Dragon attacks, making it capable of dealing extra damage to certain types of Pals.
Aqua Gun (Water) and Dragon Cannon (Dragon) are its most common attacks and it will use these often along with the more powerful ones in its list of Active Skills.
Some of Jormuntide’s stronger attacks will be Draconic Breath (Dragon), Tri-Lightning (Electric), and Aqua Burst (Water) but these can easily be avoided.
Fighting Jormunitde from a lower angle may be scary but it is an easy way to avoid its attacks while fighting from a flying Pal may require more effort and can be dangerous.
As a Dragon and Water Pal, this Field Boss takes more damage from Ice and Electric attacks while attacks on its face often result in critical damage being dealt.

The fight with Jormuntide will be a long one but once you defeat or capture this fierce water dragon, you will be able to get experience along with the following materials:

Verdict
Jormuntide is considered one of the stronger Field Bosses that you encounter in the game and with its many attacks, this can make short work of players that even meet its level.
It is best to avoid as many attacks as possible, especially the stronger ones with cooldowns since they can take a chunk out of your health.
A good advantage that you will have over this Field Boss is speed, since it is slow in the water and you can kite it by luring it far from where you encountered it.
