Palworld Gumoss Leaf (How to Get, Locations & Uses)

Gumoss Leaf is one of the common materials that you may obtain during the earlier parts of your progression in Palworld.

These are obtained from cute Pals called Gumoss that are often harmless but still, a threat if you encounter a lot of them together.

There is currently only one use for this material in the game, which is to make a head item that slightly mimics the appearance of a Gumoss.

How To Get Gumoss Leaf?

defeating a Gumoss to get Gumoss leaf

As mentioned earlier, Gumoss Leaf can be obtained by defeating a Gumoss and this also includes capturing and even butchering these Pals.

Gumoss tend to spawn in many locations around the map, which mostly include beginner areas where low-level Pals often spawn.

Each time you defeat a Gumoss, there is a good chance that they will drop Gumoss Leaf along with other items depending on what variant you defeat. (They can drop Berry Seeds and Beautiful Flowers)

There are multiple varieties of Gumoss which include Gumoss, Alpha Gumoss, and the Special Gumoss which has a Beautiful Flower on its head. (All have a 50% Chance to drop Gumoss Leaf)

Gumoss Locations

Gumoss pal Location

One of the earliest areas where you will find Gumoss is in the Windswept Hills, which is often around or on the way to the Rayne Syndicate Tower Entrance.

You will also be able to find Gumoss wandering around the Seabreeze Archipelago, Marsh Island, Bamboo Groves, and the Forgotten Island.

Gumoss are often best farmed around Windswept Hills as they are often found in this area first and will always have a lower level than the Pals you encounter later.

 Gumoss Leaf Uses

Gumoss Leaf is currently used to make only one item in the game, which is the Gumoss Cap and this can be crafted once you get the schematic from a Wandering Merchant.

The Gumoss Cap can be crafted at any workbench and will require 5 Gumoss Leaf to make you this cute cap with a leaf on top of it.

Wearing the Gumoss Cap provides you with 20 Defense and 60 Health along with a passive Grass Damage Reduction Level 1.

Gumoss Leaf is also used in crafting the Vital Remedy, which is a potion that was added in the Sakurajima Update that permanently increases your Health.

Verdict

While there are not many things for you to do with Gumoss Leaf, you can always craft the Gumoss Cap if you want it for protection against Grass Type Damage.

It is also a cute way to dress up your character and one of the easiest head armor items that you can craft earlier in the game.

Gumoss can appear both during the day and night, making them easy to farm and sometimes you may find a rare type of Gumoss that drops Beautiful Flowers.
