The Dumud Field Boss can be found near the center of the Ice Wind Island at around (-310, 5) and will often be found swimming around in the water.

The closest waypoints you can find near Dumud are the Ice Wind Island and the Azurobe Hill waypoints and should be around the centermost pool of water.

Fighting Dumud, Perpetual Procrastinator

Dumud will not attack you right away but will continue to hop toward you once you have attacked it and will attempt to get within attack range.

This Ground Pal can attack you from a distance with both Ground and Water attacks but keeping your distance gives you a good chance to dodge them.

Dumud uses the Aqua Gun (Water) and Sand Blast (Ground) Active Skills as it will currently be Level 14 when you encounter it.

Shooting Dumud on its face or its nose will deal additional damage to this Field Boss, which can be a quick way to get its health down.

Dumud Field Boss Drops

Once you defeat or capture this overgrown fish out of the water, Dumud has a high chance of dropping the following items:

  • Ancient Civilization Parts
  • Raw Dumud
  • High Quality Pal Oil
  • Precious Entrails

Verdict

Defeating Dumod the Perpetual Procrastinator will provide you with a lot of materials, including Ancient Civilization Parts that are needed once you progress.

Regardless of the distance of Dumud’s attacks, it is best to keep a bit of distance between you and this Field Boss so you can dodge its projectiles.

Dumud may appear as a type of fish or shark but it still can travel across land which it does by hopping and it will try to catch up to you if you run away.
