When exploring the caves found on Palpagos Island, you may stumble upon some of the strangest ingredients that can be collected.

One of these ingredients is the Cavern Mushroom, a small collection of fungi that gives off a greenish glow that makes it very easy to spot.

These mushrooms are a necessary ingredient when it comes to making medicine that can be used to heal your character.

Cavern Mushrooms may be found in caves that you find all over Palpagos Island, which often allows you to get a good amount for each cave that you visit.

These mushrooms have a green glow to them and when you are close enough, you may pick these up and bring them back to use later.

Obtaining these does not require that you go through the whole cave or fight the boss within as you can simply pick these up and leave.

Cavern Mushroom Uses in Palworld

Cavern Mushrooms are known to have medicinal properties, which makes them a key ingredient when it comes to crafting healing items that can be used by your character and Pals.

These include the following:

  • Low Quality Recovery Meds
  • Recovery Meds
  • High Quality Recovery Meds

Cavern Mushroom Expiration

Cavern Mushrooms will be stacked together and only one of them will expire at a time but when this is left unnoticed, you could end up losing a lot.

These expire after 60 minutes but you can preserve the Cavern Mushrooms you have by placing them in any type of storage that can be cooled. (Transferring resets the timer too!)

Verdict

Cavern Mushrooms were not added to the game during its earlier phases and came out along with the Sakurajima Update.

Having a good supply of Cavern Mushrooms will allow you to create a lot of Recovery Meds that you can later use when things get tough.

It is a good idea to use the Cavern Mushrooms that you have since they will often expire, which can be a waste if you collect a lot.
