Astegon the Ravager of Stars is a Level 48 Field Boss that you may encounter in Mount Obsidian, which is one of the more difficult boss fights in the game.
This Field Boss boasts Dark and Dragon elements while it is also capable of dealing large amounts of damage and has a large amount of health.
If the fight against this Dark Dragon Field Boss is not hard enough, you will also have to endure the hot temperature within its cave.

Astegon dwells in the Destroyed Mineshaft, where its spawning location can be found (615, 428) within this abandoned cave.
The entrances to the Destroyed Mineshaft can be found around (-574, -417) on a cliff near the pools of lava in the Mount Obsidians.
Fighting Astegon, Ravager of Stars
Astegon will come at you with Dragon and Dark Active Skills, which has Dragon Cannon (Dark) being the most common one since it has a short cooldown.
Spirit Flame (Dark) and Dragon Burst (Dragon) are commonly used as well during the fight, which makes it important to keep moving during the fight.
If Astegon is near you, it will use Draconic Breath (Dragon) and will even use its powerful Dark Laser (Dark) attack to continuously damage you from afar.
At any range, this Field Boss will also attempt to use Nightmare Ball whenever its cooldown is done, which can take a chunk out of your health.
It is best to use Ice or Dragon Pals damage against Astegon since Dragon is weak against Ice and Dark is weak against Dragon.
Aiming for Astegon’s head is a good way to deal damage if you will be using ranged weapons while fighting alongside your Pals.

Once you can defeat or capture Astegon, you will obtain a large amount of experience from the fight along with the following materials:

- Pal Metal Ingot
- Pure Quartz
- Precious Dragon Stone
Verdict
Astegon may not be one of the Legendary Pals that you encounter on Palpagos Island but it is still one of the toughest enemies in the game.
Several of its attacks are capable of dealing large amounts of damage that can kill players who have not met the minimum level for this Field Boss. (Especially without better armor equipped)
One of the reasons players attempt to capture this Field Boss is due to its Partner Skill, which allows you to deal more damage to Ore. (Great for mining)
