Upon reaching Baldur’s Gate, you may run into the circus and if you gain access there are several NPCs that you will run into.
One of them is a Djinni named Akabi, who allows guests to play a game of Spin the Will to earn prizes and it seems that you always get trash from him, and no one ever wins.
This is because the game is rigged but should you find a way to get past this cheater’s technique, an amazing loot can later be found.
Where To Find Akabi?
Akabi can be found at the Circus of the Last 30 Days, which requires you to gain entrance with an Ability Check while speaking to Klaus.
Head straight into the circus and you will eventually find Akabi to the west of Zara the Mummy next to his wheel he uses for the game.
How To Beat Akabi’s Spin The Wheel Game?
While rather optional, you can spin the wheel and later pass a persuasion check and this allows you to point out he is cheating, which can end peacefully or with you turned into a wheel of cheese.
Instead of arguing further with Akabi or even playing his game at all, you may have one of your characters sneak up behind him to steal his Djinni Ring.
This will cause your next spin to guarantee a win, but this makes Akabi furious, and he later ends up sending you to Chult, a dungeon where his other victims are sent as punishment.
The jackpot prize however will not be given to you in this way instead, you need to survive the jungle and find the loot yourself.
You will find that there are several Chult Alioramus in the Chult Jungle that you have been sent to and it is optional to fight them or sneak around.
Fighting them would be good for experience and if you continue to explore the area there will be minor loot found in skeletons and other bodies.
If you make your way to the portal at the end, you will be able to loot the Painted Chest nearby if you can pick its lock or destroy the chest.
Make sure to enter the portal after you have looted the chest as well as the other areas if you are interested in as much loot as possible.
What is The Jackpot Prize?
Considering that you can loot a lot in the Chult Jungle, the main prize is mostly the item contained within the Painted Chest, which is Nyrulna. (Legendary Trident)
Nyrulna offers several bonuses such as Thunder Damage, increased movement and jumping distance, an explosion effect when thrown, and more.
Aside from Nyrulna, you may find the Band of the Mystic Scoundrel on top of a cliff near a tent inside of a backpack.
Band of the Mystic Scoundrel allows you to cast illusion or enchantment spells as a bonus action after hitting a creature with a weapon attack.
Other items that are worth looting can be found such as gold and other ordinary drops that you would often find.
Verdict
While getting the Jackpot is not as simple as spinning to win a prize, the idea of obtaining a powerful trident and other loot is a good exchange for the trouble that Akabi puts you through.
It appears that Akabi has fooled several other adventurers who played his game and most of them can now be found dead in the Chult Jungle.
After returning to the circus through the portal, Akabi acts as if nothing happened and no longer wishes to speak to you regardless if you found all the goodies in the jungle.
