Reaching the Last Light Inn will allow you to discover a lot about the Shadow-Cursed Land and if you explore the main building, you may find someone important.
This man is named Art Cullagh, who is now suffering after he attempted a mission, and no evidence leads to what has happened.
Once you manage to progress after trying to speak to him, you will set out to find a way to wake him up from his seemingly endless sleep.
Art Cullagh Location
Art Cullagh can be found unconscious or rather lost in his thoughts at the Last Light Inn and you can find him resting on a bed in the room to the north.
Once you reach Art Cullagh, you will only be able to speak with Fist J’ehlar, who is currently tending to him after he was brought in.
How To Wake Up Art Cullagh?
The object that you are searching for is a Lyre that belonged to Art Cullagh as it is said that he may be woken up if you bring something that belongs to the man.
Unfortunately, Art Cullagh came from the House of Healing, which is where a creature of a man known as Malus Thorm dwells.
You will need to head to the House of Healing and kill Malus Thorm to get the Lyre from him before returning to Art Cullagh.
Once you have the Lyre, make your way back to the Last Light Inn and interact with Art Cullagh to start a cutscene.
You will need to play the Lyre, which immediately wakes up Art Cullagh and then tells you about someone named Thaniel.
Art Cullagh will ask if you know someone named Halsin, who will later visit Art Cullagh after you have spoken with him.
The quest becomes complete once Art Cullagh has woken up but you may later head to Halsin to continue this part of the story.
Lift The Shadow Curse Quest
Upon completing the quest called How To Wake Up Art Cullagh, you may get a new quest called Lift The Shadow Curse when you speak to Halsin.
Telling Halsin about what happened, or mentioning Thaniel will start this quest, and he will make his way to the Last Light Inn and wait for you there.
This sets on another part of the story related to an attempt to lift the curse from the Shadow-Cursed Land to restore it.
Verdict
It is unsure how Art Cullagh had made it out alive since Malus Thorm is a very sinister being and luckily, you were able to find the Lyre.
Making your way to the House of Healing will eventually have you encounter Arabella nearby, who asks you to help her find her parents. (This allows you to finish 2 quests at once)
If you have Halsin in your camp, all you need to do is speak with him there and he will make his way to the Last Light Inn on his own.
