Ore is probably one of the most tedious things to farm in Palworld since you need to find locations where a lot may spawn, and this resource is needed for making Ingots.
If you want to quickly get ingots without doing too much, the best thing for you to do is to set up a self-sustaining Ore Farm.
This will allow you to save time by having a whole outpost base that provides you with Ore that you can collect and bring back to your main base.
Making A Self-Sustaining Ore Farm
1) Find An Ore Farming Spot
The first thing you will need to do is find a place to build your Mining Base, which should have a lot of Ore Nodes nearby to be farmed.
Once you find a spot, you will need to begin by placing down your Palbox and a couple of Storages next to it for your Pals to bring any materials farmed to it.
Some of the best places to farm Ore are to the west of the Small Settlement or near the Desolate Church as these have a lot of nodes around them.
Desolate Church has a good area of nodes near it while west of the Small Settlement provides you with more space to build an outpost.
If you head west from the Fort Ruins waypoint, you will also find another spot where a lot of Ore Nodes may be found.
2) Make The Base Self-Sustainable
Your Pals will fail to work properly if they are always stressed and hungry, which makes it important to set up the means to feed them and provide them with sleep.
Create a Berry Plantation and a Feed Box nearby for your Pals to have an unlimited supply of food to eat before putting them to work.
Make sure to set up beds for each of the Pals and put Hot Springs for them to avoid becoming stressed when working. (Unlike what we did with our first base)
3) Assigning Pals To the Base
Once the base is all set up, you will now need to assign a Pal that has the Watering Skill and one that has the Planting and/or Gathering Skill, which will help feed all the Pals with a Berry Plantation.
You will then need to add Pals that have a Mining Skill of 2 or higher, which will allow them to break the Ore Nodes in the base. (Make sure not to build over nodes so they respawn)
It would be best to assign Pals such as Tombats, Lovander, and more Pals that have the Transporting Skill, which will allow them to pick up and store Ore they farm. (They break and collect Ore)
4) Collect and Transport Ore
Now that you have a self-sustaining base that has Pals who constantly gather Ore, you can come back now and then to collect it.
Make sure that your main base and the Ore-farming base have storage next to them as the one at the mining base will be where your Pals store the Ore.
You will be taking the Ore from the mining base and will fast-travel to your main base, where you will place the Ore into another storage nearby.
Once the Ore is in any storage, you will be able to smelt as many as you want at a furnace without having to pick it up since the materials will be pulled.
Verdict
As shown in the images that we have, the Pals are depressed and sick, which was caused by the lack of preparation, and this makes it important to prepare food, beds, and hot springs.
With a good Ore Farming Base, you will be able to focus on doing other tasks instead of teleporting all over the map to farm Ore.
This makes it much easier for you when you have unlocked more technology because a lot of Ingots will be needed and to get this, you need a lot of Ore.
