Lae’zel is a Githyanki warrior who you first encounter aboard the Nautiloid but after the two of you make your way to the helm, you are separated until you find her later.
This agile warrior can hold her own in a fight and shows ruthlessness when it comes to her enemies when in combat as well as outside of it.
Adding this fighter to your party can give you not only a great fighter but also an initiator who can charge forward into battle to create an opening.
Where To Find Lae’zel?
Lae’zel can be found after the Escape the Nautiloid quest, which resulted in you along with other survivors being thrown out of the ship.
You later discover Lae’zel to the north of the Roadside Cliffs, where she has been captured and is held prisoner in a cage.
There will be two Tieflings named Damays and Nymessa who are deciding what to do with Lae’zel, which requires you to deal with them one way or the other.
How To Recruit Lae’zel?
Much like the other Origin Characters, Lae’zel can be recruited in Act I and the cage scene is the easiest since you can either convince the guards to leave her or kill them.
Once the guards (Damays and Nymessa) leave, you can free Lae’zel by shooting the base of the cage and a cutscene begins.
During the cutscene, you can add her to your party or camp but leaving her is also an option but not advised since it would be a waste.
If you don’t find her in the cage, she will eventually break out and may be encountered multiple times or may be found dead. (You can resurrect her and recruit her)
Lae’zel Uses
Lae’zel is a straightforward fighter, who possesses the ability to fight head-on against most enemies that you encounter and can take them down on her own.
Having her as a fighter in your party can provide you with a good warrior to take the front in a fight, especially when supported by characters such as Shadowheart. (Even if they hate each other)
Her ability to wield most weapons well makes her adept in a fight, giving her an advantage against most enemies that you come across.
Lae’zel Romance
Lae’zel has one goal in mind and that is to find the Creche to solve the tadpole problem that everyone later becomes physically intimate with and later sees you as an equal.
She loves it when you stick to the most direct solution possible and ignore side tasks that can hinder the party when pushing forward.
Lae’zel dislikes it when you get sidetracked and when too much kindness is shown since she sees this as a weakness.
Verdict
Your experience with having Lae’zel as a companion begins on the Nautiloid as you have no choice but to fight together to reach the helm.
As you meet with Lae’zel later, she becomes a valuable member of your team if you decide to have her in your party since she can deal a lot of damage with different weapons.
Her capabilities in battle prove to be very useful but she doesn’t use spells often unless you decide to use different builds with her.
