One of the tastiest dishes that you can cook in Palworld is Cake, which restores a lot of Nutrition and Sanity when eaten but this is not the only use that it has.
When it comes to breeding, this consumable is needed at a Breeding Farm if you want to get two Pals to lay you a healthy egg that you can hatch.
The only downside is that making Cake will require that you go through certain preparations to have all the necessary ingredients to make it.
How To Make Cake?
Cake can be cooked at a Cooking Pot or any better cooking station that you have available in your base but you will also need to make sure you have all the ingredients ready.
A Cooking Pot can be unlocked at Level 17 while an Electric Kitchen may be unlocked at Level 41 and both of these allow you to make Cake.
Assigning a Pal with a higher Kindling Skill will allow you to produce Cake and any other type of food items faster. (You can assign Pals by picking them up and tossing them at the Cooking Station)
Aside from cooking Cake, there is a chance that this food will drop when you defeat Lovander but this only has a 1% chance to happen.
Cake Uses
Upon eating a Cake, the consumer will gain 656 Nutrition, which is enough to satisfy any Pal or human’s hunger and cravings.
This also restores 82 Sanity when eaten, which is a quick way to help a Pal recover their Sanity instead of them taking a bring or hitting it at a Hot Spring.
While these are some ways to use Cake, its main use is purposely for Breeding Pals as this is a requirement and is consumed for each Egg that is laid.

Cake Ingredients
Cake is one of the food items in the game that has a lot of ingredients required to craft but once you have a self-sustaining supply of these, it becomes easy to cook often.
The following are needed to craft Cakes:
- 5 Flour
- 8 Red Berries
- 7 Milk
- 8 Egg
- 2 Honey
How To Prepare Cake Ingredients?
While a majority of the ingredients required to cook Cake can be farmed out in the wild, it would be best to have an unlimited supply of everything that it needs.
The following are the ways for you to get all of the ingredients for Cake:
- Flour – Build Wheat Plantation and process the Wheat in a Mill
- Red Berries – Build 1 or 2 Berry Plantations
- Milk – Place a Mozzarina at a Ranch
- Egg – Place a Chikipi at a Ranch
- Honey – Place a Beegarde at a Ranch
Having more than one ranch may be necessary at times or you can have one at another base to avoid using up all your Pal slots at a base.

When it comes to Breeding Pals, Cake is highly in demand as your Pals will not lay an egg if you don’t have any placed in the Breeding Farm’s storage.
If you have a large surplus of Cakes available at your base, you can place them in a Feed Box to keep your worker Pals in good condition.
It is better to have all the ingredients produced at your base instead of going out to farm them as this will save you a lot of time.
