Spellcasters can unleash a great deal of damage and depending on what items they have equipped, sometimes they can take things up a notch.
With the Spellmight Gloves, the wearer has the opportunity to deal additional damage at the risk provided by a penalty to your attack roll.
These Very Rare gloves can be quite useful when your spellcaster has a good amount of space and if you are willing to take the risk to deal more damage, you will want to get them.
Spellmight Gloves Effects
Spellmight (Passive)
When the Spellmight Gloves are equipped, you will gain a toggleable passive feature called Spellmight that may be turned on and off whenever you wish.
Once activated, casting spells that require an Attack Roll will cause you to take a -5 Penalty to the roll but this will cause your attacks to deal more damage.
This means that when you roll, there is a greater chance to miss unless you have improved your character’s stats with other items.
How To Get Spellmight Gloves?
The Spellmight Gloves are given by Lucretious at the Circus of the Last Days as a reward for helping her find all of the missing parts of Dribbles The Clown.
This happens during the Find Dribbles The Clown quest, which has you searching for all of the parts of the clown after he was killed and replaced with a doppelganger.
Finding all of the parts will take you to various places in Act III, making these gloves accessible a little later once you have gotten around.
After bringing all of the parts to Lucretious, she will thank you and give you the Spellmight Gloves to thank you for your efforts.
Lucretious Location
Lucretious will be at her tent in the northwest part of the Circus of the Last Days and this is before and after you have spoken to her about the quest.
Your first time at the circus will allow you to encounter the fake Dribbles the Clown, resulting in you killing the doppelganger.
Lucretious will approach the area and you may speak with her to start the quest afterward, she will head back to her tent where you can speak to her again after finding the parts.
Verdict
The Spellmight Gloves may be a problem for those who are not equipped well but with higher stats, the -5 Penalty won’t be much of a hassle.
Being able to deal an additional amount of damage with your spells can be useful for taking out single targets or even groups of enemies, making it easier to win battles.
Toggling the Spellmight passive when casting certain spells may be a good idea if you don’t want to risk missing during certain situations.
