Baldur’s Gate 3 gives you the opportunity of summoning familiars in battle and some of them are great for putting your enemies at a disadvantage.
One of these familiars can be summoned with the use of the Raven Gloves (Rare Gloves) to give you a Raven named Quote who can blind your enemies.
To obtain these Rare Gloves, you will first need to complete a quest called Punish the Wicked, which becomes available in the Shadow-Cursed Lands.
Raven Gloves Quest
The Raven Gloves are a reward for the Punish the Wicked quest, which first starts once you talk to a man called, He Who Was in the Shadow-Cursed Lands.
Once you have spoken to this man, he will have told you about the malicious deeds that Madeline has done and request that you help judge her.
This requires that you first find her ledger for proof of her actions and return to He Who Was to begin judging her.
How To Get Raven Gloves?
The Raven Gloves are rewarded to you by He Who Was after you have punished Madeline, which requires you to choose the right responses.
During the Punish the Wicked quest, you will have to choose responses that will end up making Madeline feel guilty or even hurt herself.
Once the judgment has been passed and Madeline has suffered, He Who Was will be thankful and reward you with the Raven Gloves as a token of his gratitude.
Raven Glove Uses
The Raven Gloves allows its wearer to summon a Raven named Quothe, who can blind enemies with the Rend Vision attack.
This requires that the Raven Gloves are worn if you want to summon the Raven and if the gloves are removed, the Raven will disappear.
Quothe can be a useful ally to have on the field, especially with its ability to make enemies miss their attacks due to being blinded.
How To Summon Quothe?
To summon Quothe, you must first have one of your party members equip the Raven Gloves that you received from He Who Was.
Once the gloves have been equipped, the wearer will gain the “Summon Quothe the Raven” spell, which can be cast afterward.
Selecting to Summon Quothe the Raven and selecting the location where to spawn Quothe will make the Raven appear on the spot.
Verdict
The Raven Gloves can be useful for almost any party and is a good replacement for gloves that are no longer effective with a character based on where you are.
Quothe will remain summoned as long as you have the Raven Gloves equipped, making it a useful familiar for scouting or aiding you in battle. (If already summoned, it will join with the party)
Completing the Punish the Wicked quest may take some time as the ledger that needs to be obtained is on the other side of the river but it is still worth the effort.
