Penking Plume is a common material that is known to be another word for feather but this one is quite fashionable and can be seen on Penking Pals.
If you have been doing a few of the Pal Boss Dungeons, you may have come across this if you have defeated Penking a few times.
Getting your hands on a certain amount of Penking Plumes will allow you to make a head armor item similar to one that Penking wears.
How To Get Penking Plumes?
Penking Plumes drop from the Penking Boss found at the Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings found in the Windswept Hills.
Entering the Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings will allow you to fight this Penking Boss but it will be accompanied by multiple Pengullet.
Aside from the Penking that can be fought in the Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings, you may also find that the regular variants have been moved to a Wildlife Sanctuary.
You can find the regular variants of the Penking at No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary, where you will find a few of them wandering the area.
Penking Location
The Sealed Realm of Frozen Wings can be found north of the Tower of Rayne Syndicate in the Windswept Hills and this has a fast travel waypoint that can be unlocked.
No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary which is located southwest of the Plateau of Beginnings will require that you fly or swim your way to it. (Better if you fly to avoid drowning)
Beware when you are exploring Wildlife Sanctuaries though, you may end up becoming wanted for trespassing.
Penking Plume Uses
Penking Plume is used to craft the Penking Cap, which resembles a blue tricorne with a plume just like the ones that the Penking Pals wear.
This requires that you have 5 Penking Plume to craft it as well as the Penking Cap Schematic, which can be purchased from a Wandering Merchant.
Wearing the Penking Plume grants you 20 Defense, 60 Health, and Level 1 Ice Damage Reduction, which helps when you fight Ice Pals.
Verdict
The Penking Boss is one of the earliest stronger variations of Pals that you fight during the earlier parts of Palworld as it is accessible early on.
Making the Penking Cap is a good way to give yourself protection against Ice Pals until you decide to move on to stronger armor.
Penking will not always drop the Penking Plume and you may need to defeat more to get it but you can still get it from capturing and may butcher them too.
