Lettuce is one of the last crops you get your hands on as you progress, which becomes vital when it comes to making certain dishes.
Getting Lettuce early in the game can be a bit difficult due to the need for you to unlock the plantation needed to make it but things become easy once you do.
If you want to prepare some of the best dishes in the game, you will want to make sure you have a good supply of Lettuce going in at least one of your bases.
How To Get Lettuce?
1) Lettuce Plantations
The best way for you to get Lettuce is to grow it after you have built a Lettuce Plantation, which requires Pals to maintain it to continuously produce this ingredient.
You may unlock the Lettuce Plantation from your Technology Menu once you have reached level 38 and will require Lettuce Seeds to build it.
Lettuce Seeds may be obtained in more than one way, such as by defeating certain Pals or purchasing them from a Wandering Merchant. (Such as the Wandering Merchant in Fisherman’s Point)
Once you have a Lettuce Plantation built, you will need to have a collection of Pals that can plant, water, and gather from the plantation. (They will store the Lettuce if there is an available container)
2) Purchasing Lettuce From Wandering Merchants
Lettuce will take time to be grown at a plantation, which requires you to have progressed a bit and have unlocked Lettuce Plantations in your Technology Menu.
If you need to get your hands on Lettuce before you can start a plantation, you can always buy this ingredient from a Wandering Merchant.
The Wandering Merchant in Fisherman’s Point (Mount Obsidian) has Lettuce for sale, which will cost you 150 Gold per piece. (Buying Lettuce Seeds and building a Lettuce Plantation is still the best way)
How To Get Lettuce Seeds?
Lettuce Seeds can be obtained by defeating certain Pals that you find around Palpagos Island and most of them are Grass Pals.
Another way for you to get Lettuce Seeds would be to purchase them from the same Wandering Merchant who sells them for 200 Gold each.
Lettuce Uses
Lettuce is mainly used as an ingredient for cooking but those who have an abundant supply can also use them to sate their character or Pal’s hunger.
You will be able to unlock more recipes that require Lettuce by crafting and accessing a Cooking Station or an Electric Kitchen.
The following are the recipes that require Lettuce:
- Dumud Chowder
- Grilled Lamball
- Mozzarina Hamburger
- Rushoar Hot Dog
- Salad

If you have a good amount of Lettuce being produced, you can always use these to feed your Pals by placing this ingredient in a Feed Box.
Until you have unlocked the Lettuce Plantation in your Technology Menu, getting your hand on this ingredient may be quite difficult.
Having a good amount of Lettuce will allow you to craft better food and some of these have bonus effects when eaten.
