The Tiefling Hideout is a location found at the grove and serves as the base of operations for Mol and the other Tiefling children.
This location may be discovered on your own or after interacting with Doni, which can be through ability checks or after completing the Investigate the Beach quest.
Mol’s reaction will be different depending on how you get into the Tiefling Hideout, which makes it necessary to find the most convenient way possible.
How To Get Inside Tiefling Hideout?
Concealed Hatch
The Concealed Hatch is the main entrance to the Tiefling Hideout, which allows your whole party to enter and later exit using a ladder.
This entrance can be revealed in more than one way, which involves speaking to Doni to do an Ability Check or after you have completed the Investigate the Beach quest.
Entering the Concealed Hatch without completing the Investigate the Beach quest (Save Mirkon), will result in Mol being unfriendly.
Enter Rocky Crevice
There is a Rocky Crevice just around the entrance of the Tiefling Hideout after an attempt from Silfy to pickpocket you.
You can see Silfy run away later and enter the Tiefling Hideout through the Rocky Crevice, which you may also enter if you have a party member who is small or who can transform.
Transforming, this would mean using Wild Shape to turn into a small creature or using Disguise Self to turn into a small humanoid.
How To Reveal Concealed Hatch?
Perception Check
Once you speak to Doni at the grove, you will later have the option during the cutscene to do a Perception Check that will reveal the location of the Concealed Hatch.
Speak To Doni After Saving Mirkon
If you have completed the Investigate the Beach quest and have saved Mirkon, he will later tell you the password that you may mention to Doni, which will result in Doni revealing the entrance.
What Can You Do in The Tiefling Hideout
1) Find Your Belongings
If Mattis and Silfy had successfully scammed you, speaking to Mol will allow you to recover the items that were taken from you.
2) Purchase Items From Mol
Mol will have a few items for sale if you speak to her and you can also sell some of your items since she has quite a bit of Gold for bartering.
3) Acquire Brass Locket
The Brass Locket is a quest item that was stolen from Barth, which is later involved in a quest called Return the Locket.
4) Invest In The Thieves Guild
Mol will tell you that she is planning to relocate, and you can eventually help her out by giving 20 Gold, which will later earn you a bit of profit in the later acts.
Verdict
While there is not much to do in the Tiefling Hideout, there are still some items you can get by purchasing, pickpocketing, and stealing.
Eventually, you may run into Mol in the later acts and if you have invested in the Thieves’ Guild she mentioned, you will be rewarded when you meet again.
The best way to get into the Tiefling Hideout is to save Mirkon as this will make Mol friendlier and saving Arabella will also be remembered when you speak to her.
