There are a lot of materials that you can obtain in Palworld and most of these are used for crafting but some valuables are meant for being sold.
Multiple gemstones can be obtained by defeating certain enemies and these can later be sold to a Wandering Merchant for a certain amount of Gold Coins.
Obtaining these is not that hard but a bit of progression may be needed to take on the more difficult enemies that drop these gemstones.
Where To Get Gemstones?
Gemstones such as Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, and Diamond may be obtained by defeating certain Field Bosses or Alpha Pals.
Depending on how difficult the Pal is, there will be a certain chance to get a particular gemstone but this is different with some Alpha Pals and regular ones.
Some Pals that are not Field Bosses or Alpha Pals have a chance to drop a specific Gemstone and this can often be checked in the Paldeck.
List of Gemstones in Palworld
1) Sapphire (Rare)
Sapphire is a Rare Material in Palworld that can be obtained from different Pals and is known for its bluish color as mentioned in its description.
These can be sold to a Wandering Merchant for 750 Gold Coins and are often obtained from Mau Cryst, Vanwyrm Cryst, and Relaxaurus Lux.
2) Ruby (Rare)
Ruby is a gemstone that is distinguishable by its red color and can be sold to a Wandering Merchant for 500 Gold Coins.
You can obtain a Ruby often when you defeat a Direhowl, Vanwyrm, or Relaxaurus even if they are not Alpha Pals but the chances are slim.
3) Emerald (Epic)
Emerald is one of the more valuable Gemstones that you can obtain, which can be sold for 1000 Gold Coins at a Wandering Merchant.
These gemstones do not drop from Pals though and instead can be obtained from chests that can be found while exploring, especially those found after fighting a cave dungeon boss.
4) Diamond (Epic)
Diamonds are the rarest of the gemstones and may be sold for 1250 Gold Coins each when you are trading with a Wandering Merchant.
These valuable gemstones can be obtained by fighting Legendary Bosses, which include Frostallion, Jetragon, and Paladius.
Gemstones Uses
The Gemstones in Palworld don’t have any actual uses aside from being an item that you can sell to Wandering Merchants.
When these are sold in bulk, they can provide you with a lot of Gold Coins that you can use to trade with any type of merchant.
The rarer the Gemstone that you intend on selling, the more Gold Coins you will be able to get, which makes it worth your while to collect any chest you find as you explore.
Verdict
While the Gold Coins you can get from selling the various Gemstones may not appear to be as great as other ways of earning, they are still a big help.
It is best to keep these aside just in case you need to sell them off for some extra Gold Coins and perhaps in the future there may be additional uses for them.
As of now, you will likely find them as you defeat certain Pals and continue to open up chests that you find and the best thing about this is that you also get other kinds of loot as well.
