Palworld Wool Farm & It’s Uses

Wool is one of the common materials found in Palworld and it can be obtained in different ways, which you might already have a hint of judging by its description.

This material is needed for crafting certain items in the game, which include beds as mentioned in its description as well as another material, Cloth.

To get your hands on a lot of Wool, you will need to either go on the hunt for certain Pals or find a way to get your very own Wool farm going.

How To Get Wool?

1) Defeating Pals

Taking out wool from Lamball pal

When it comes to basics, you can get Wool by taking out Pals that resemble sheep, such as a Lamball or a Cremis as their appearance is a clear giveaway that they have the material.

You will of course have to defeat these Pals, which can be quite mean if you run around smacking everything fluffy that moves. (This can get you a small amount of Wool now and then)

Hunting down Pals for Wool is a quick early way to get the resource but catching them for farming this material later will get you more in a smaller amount of time.

2) Assigning Wool Farming Pals To Ranch

The best way for you to get your hands on Wool would be to build a Ranch, which is a structure that allows you to farm material when Pals are assigned to it.

This requires that you place a creature that has Wool as its drop to work at the Ranch, such as a Lamball and it will start to generate and even store this resource in a nearby container.

The following are creatures that can produce wool at a Ranch:

  • Cremis
  • Lamball
  • Melpaca

3) Purchasing Wool From Wandering Merchants

Some Wandering Merchants tend to have many materials in stock and one of these is Wool but spending your Gold on this is not advisable.

Each piece of Wool will cost you 100 Gold, which makes it better for you to just save up for later and stick to getting a Pal that can produce it.

Eventually, having a Pal that can produce Wool at a Ranch will get you a huge amount of Wool without the need to spend any Gold or resources.

Pals That Drop Wool

  • Cremis (1-2)
  • Kingpaca (5)
  • Kingpaca Cryst (5)
  • Lamball (1-3)
  • Melpaca (2-5)
  • Swee (1)
  • Sweepa (3-5)

Wool Uses

As mentioned earlier, building beds and crafting Clothes are some of the main uses of Wool and later on, this material will be needed for High Quality Cloth.

You may also use Wool for some of the Pals that you capture as these are needed for their saddles, which include the Melpaca Saddle and Kingpaca Saddle.

Aside from the few crafting uses that Wool has, it is mainly used for mass crafting a lot of Cloth that you will be using later.

The following require Wool when being made:

Material

  • Cloth
  • High Quality Cloth

Saddles

  • Kingpaca Saddle
  • Kingpaca Cryst Saddle
  • Melpaca Saddle

Armor/Accessories

  • Helmet

Structures

  • Shoddy Bed

Verdict

Wool is not that hard to get since you find a lot of Lamballs roaming around earlier in the game, which should be enough to get you going with some Cloth.

While this Cloth may be enough to get you some starting armor (Cloth Outfit), you will need a lot for later on as Cloth is needed for other equipment and structures.

It is best to resort to the Ranch as this allows you to passively create Wool without doing much and you can even farm Eggs at the same time for food. (Sheep Pals give Wool, Bird Pals give Eggs)
