Refined Ingot is one of the materials that you will eventually need when it comes to making better equipment as well as building better structures.
Eventually, this requires that you farm two important resources that are used to create this material, which are Ore and Coal.
Ore is often discovered by players during their earlier progression and Coal is found as they continue exploring but there is more to it when it comes to making this material.
How To Craft Refined Ingot?
Refined Ingot needs to be crafted at an Improved Furnace, which is unlocked at Level 34, or an Electric Furnace, which is unlocked at Level 44. (It becomes available when you open its menu)
Crafting a Refined Ingot will cost you 2 Ore and 2 Coal for each piece, which is not that expensive if you have the means to farm each of them.
To smelt the Ore and Coal into Refined Ingot, you will need a Fire Pal assigned to the furnace that you are using. (Higher Kindling Skill allows Refined Ingot to be crafted faster)
Refined Ingot Uses
Refined Ingot is used to make Refined Weapons, Tools, and Armor as these are an upgrade from the Regular Metal Equipment that you make with Ingots.
You will also need this material to build the Assembly Line structures as well as better Spheres for catching Pals and guns for dealing more damage to your enemies.

Refined Ingot may seem hard to come by when you have first started but all you need to do is level up and find out where to farm the needed materials.
It is good to set up an Ore Mining Base so that you have an unlimited supply of Ore and the same can be done for Coal as this will come in handy later on.
Once you start to craft equipment with Refined Ingot, you will have a better chance of surviving encounters with tougher Pals and enemies that you come across.
