If you remember capturing your first Chillet, you might have kept the Icey Pal around with you for quite some time and now a new variant has appeared.
With the arrival of the Sakurajima Update, players discovered that a fire variant of Chillet exists, which is known as Chillet Ignis.
This variant of Chillet utilized Fire and Dragon Active Skills to deal damage, making it pretty much the opposite of the original.
Chillet Ignis Location
Chillet Ignis can only be found around Sakurajima Island, which is found to the north of Forgotten Island and Ice Wind Island.
You will find that Chillet Ignis will often spawn around the Moonflower Tower which is positioned near the center of the island.

Chillet Ignis Uses
While Chillet Ignis may not be available for capturing during the earlier parts of the game, breeding one can provide you with a useful Pal that can deal Fire and Dragon damage.
Although the saddle for Chillet Ignis is only available at level 45, you can still use this Pal later on if you still prefer to have it on your team.
Chillet Ignis can be useful for cooking and smelting if you do not have any available Fire Pals at your base. (They also defend well thanks to the Fire and Dragon Active Skills they have)
Partner Skill
Chillet Ignis has the Sparkling Weasel Partner Skill, which allows the Pal to be ridden once you have crafted the Chillet Ignis Saddle.
In addition to being rideable after you have crafted Chillet Ignis’ Saddle, your attacks will have fire damage applied to them.
This will allow you to deal more damage to enemies, especially when you are attacking Grass Pals as fire is highly effective against them.
Work Suitability
Chillet Ignis can be used as a source of Fire, allowing it to cook food and smelt ore when you assign one to your base. (They can also gather from plantations)

Verdict
The presence of Chillet Ignis on Sakurajima Island gives you a good way to deal damage against the Shroomers that spawn around the island if you don’t have any Fire Pals.
Aside from it being quick on its feet, they can jump a slightly good distance and this can help you get around from time to time on land.
Although Chillet Ignis was new to the game with the Sakurajima Update, players may resort to other Fire Pals unless they prefer the combination of Fire and Dragon Attacks that Chillet Ignis provides.
