Upon the release of the Sakurajima Update, Palworld gained a new merchant that players may now purchase special items from.
While this merchant can be found in multiple places, buying items from him cannot be done using Gold but instead with a currency called Dog Coins.
Once you have enough Dog Coins, you can check out what the Medal Merchant has in store for you and will be quite surprised at how useful some of the items can be.
All Medal Merchant Locations
The Medal Merchant will often be inside the different churches that you can find around Palpagos Island.
Since there are Fast Travel Points, you can easily find the Medal Merchant by heading inside the church or church ruins in certain regions of the island.
1) Desolate Church
The Desolate Church can be found in the Windswept Hills and if you have already located it, you will be able to Fast Travel right next to the church.
2) Sea Breeze Archipelago Church
The Fast Travel Point for the Sea Breeze Archipelago Church is a bit distant from the church itself but once you teleport to the location, you won’t have trouble finding the building.
3) Marsh Island Church Ruins
Like the Desolate Church, you can easily find and return to the Marsh Island Church once you unlock its Fast Travel Point which is right next to the church. (Northeast part of the island)
4) Forgotten Island Church Ruins
The Forgotten Island Church Ruins may be found on the Forgotten Island, which is around the center of the island and has a Fast Travel Point right next to it.

How To Buy From Medal Merchant?
Once you head to one of the churches, you can make your way toward the Medal Merchant and will be able to speak with him.
Select the option to buy from him and this will open the menu showing his Item List, which is all the items he has for sale.
Purchasing will require a fixed amount of Dog Coins for each item so make sure you check what you want first before grinding or farming a lot before going to the Medal Merchant.
How To Get Dog Coins?
Dog Coins can be obtained in multiple ways but these are not as easy during the earlier parts of the game as they will be once you progress.
By defeating Mimogs (Chest Pal), looting Junkyards (Scraps found in most areas), opening chests, and defeating humans, you will have a chance to get Dog coins.
Dog Coins will be needed in large amounts for some of the other items that the Medal Merchant has for sale, making it a good idea to farm as many Dog Coins as you can before visiting.
Verdict
The Medal Merchant seems to have a fixed set of items, but it is advisable to focus on the accessory boxes first to give you additional Accessory Slots to use.
Following the accessory boxes, you might want to ignore the Elixirs since you can craft these and focus on the Life Fruit, Power Fruit, and Stout Fruit as these cannot be crafted. (Use on Pals)
After progressing a bit in the game and capturing or breeding a good Pal, you will be able to easily explore the island and find Dog Coins faster to buy items from the Medal Merchant.
