Known to be one of the most powerful Pals found on Palpagos Island, Anubis remains an iconic choice for many players to go after.
Players may find Anubis, the Guardian of the Dark Sun, and may challenge this Level 47 Ground Pal to capture it or simply defeat it for experience and materials.
While this humanoid Pal may not seem as big as the other massive foes you may face, it proves to be one of the toughest opponents due to its power and agility.
Anubis Field Boss Location
Anubis can be found in the Twilight Dune near a statue of itself, which is located at (-134, -94) around the center of the area.
The statue won’t be hard to miss and you will often find Anubis roaming out in front of it along with a chest that often spawns at its base.
Fighting Anubis, Guardian of the Dark Sun
Anubis has a habit of taunting you before the battle starts if it happens to spot you and once the fight begins, it will come at you with everything it has.
Using ranged weapons against Anubis can result in him quickly dodging them with a high-speed sidestep. (This is because of his Guardian of the Desert Partner Skill)
Anubis will be using Power Bomb (Neutral) along with the Stone Blast, Sand Tornado, Spinning Roundhouse, Ground Smash, and its Forceful Charge Special Skill.
Forceful Charge causes Anubis to charge at you and unleash a devastating punch that can deal a lot of damage if you fail to dodge it.
Anubis takes extra damage to the head but it is best to use a Shotgun or other weapons that deal a lot of damage with slower fire rates since every shot causes it to dodge.
Since this Field Boss is a Ground Pal, it will take extra damage from Grass Attacks, making Grass Pals a good choice against it.

The battle against Anubis may be a tough one but defeating or even capturing this boss will provide you and your Pals with a large boost in experience along with the following materials:
- Ancient Civilization Parts
- Bones
- Large Pal Soul
- Precious Entrails

Anubis can be a tricky opponent, especially since it can quickly dodge your attacks, which makes it important to focus on dealing damage rather than consecutive attacks.
Pals are an important part of this fight as they unleash attacks that Anubis will have a hard time dodging while your ranged weapons may be dodged most of the time.
If you plan on capturing Anubis, it would be wise to bring its health down very low and use Legendary Spheres. (Upgraded Capture Power recommended)
