Wumpo Botan (Guardian of the Grassy Fields) is a boss and special variant of the Botan, which you may encounter far away from its distant relative.
This Grass Pal is a Level 38 Field Boss that is often seen wandering the shore on the northern part of Eastern Wild Island, who tends to be a bit aggressive towards players.
This Field Boss is known to be quite dangerous not only because of its high level but also because of the many attacks that it can unleash upon those who threaten it.

You can find Wumpo Botan at the Eastern Wild Island at coordinates (449, -50) around the upper part of the island.
Wumpo Botan will be wandering around the shore and may sometimes be found taking a little dip in the water until you attack it.
Fighting Wumpo Botan, Guardian of the Grassy Fields
Wumpo Botan may not do much until the fight begins but once the clash begins, it will attack you even if you are far away from it.
The majority of Wumpo Botan’s attacks deal Grass damage with the exclusion of Aqua Gun, which deals Water damage.
Its attacks also include Spine Vine, Grass Tornado, Seed Mine, and Windcutter, which are all Grass attacks and it can even root you with some of them.
Using a Fire Pals is a good way to deal damage but when it comes to dealing critical hits, you will want to target its face but not every shot will get extra damage.
Wumpo Botan will be able to attack you from afar and you should be ready to dodge its attacks when it starts to make a move on you.
