Palworld is set in a vast world full of creatures known as Pals and each type of creature is often found in a specific location and the same goes for resources that you need to farm.
Running around or even getting to places on your mount can sometimes take a bit longer than it should, which can take up a lot of your time.
The good thing is that you don’t always have to travel on foot or by riding on the back of a Pal, you can always fast travel from one location to another.
How Does Fast Travel Work?
In Palworld, you can Fast Travel as much as you like, and this will allow you to travel from one location to another across the map instantly.
If you are out gathering materials and decide to head back to your base, you can Fast Travel to get everything you have in your bag back quickly.
Fast Travel points in Palworld include the Great Eagle Statues as well as any Palbox that you have built on the map. (This is usually your base or an outpost)
How To Unlock Fast Travel?
To unlock a Fast Travel Waypoint, which is known in Palworld as a Great Eagle Statue, you will need to approach it and interact with it.
This will result in the Fast Travel Waypoint being active, allowing you to use it to quickly get to another area or to get to it from elsewhere.
Additionally, activating a Great Eagle Statue will not only give you a new place to Fast Travel to, but it also rewards you with 1 Technology Point per statue.
Fast Travel to Waypoint
To Fast Travel to a waypoint, you must interact with either a Great Eagle Statue or the Palbox at any of your bases.
This will open the map and you will be able to see the different Fast Travel Waypoints that you have already unlocked.
Selecting a location will allow you to instantly travel there, which is a good way to save time and do more instead of walking all the way.
Fast Travel To Base
Similar to the Great Eagle Statues, your Palbox serves as your base’s main Fast Travel Waypoint, and this can be used to Fast Travel to other statues or another base.
A Palbox can be interacted with too Fast Travel, which can be either to another one of your bases or to one of the Fast Travel Waypoints that you have unlocked.
It is often wise to farm near Fast Travel Waypoints so that you can quickly make it back to your base with whatever you have farmed.
Verdict
Getting around on foot can take up a lot of time and while there are Pals that you can ride, nothing is more convenient than Fast Traveling.
As you progress, you will be able to travel from one base to another thanks to the Palbox, since it has a similar Fast Travel function as the Great Eagle Statues.
Putting Stat Points into your character’s weight is a good way to increase the number of items they can carry before you need to Fast Travel back to your base.
