Elphidran the Gentle Sky Dragon is one of the Field Bosses that you encounter in Palworld and while it may have a cute appearance, it can become very fierce.
This Field Boss can be challenged if you find it around the Moonless Shore and is higher than most of the stronger Pals that you may encounter.
Elphidran can be defeated to obtain certain drops or captured to become a valuable member of your party or base.
Elphidran, Gentle Sky Dragon Location
Elphidran can be found around the Moonless Shore, which is to the north of the Windswept Hills near the multiple waypoints.
You can find Elphidran the Gentle Sky Dragon at (45, -283) near the Hypocrite Hill and Ancient Ritual Site waypoints.
Fighting Elphidran, Gentle Sky Dragon
Elphidran has several attacks that deal Dragon Damage but also uses the Flare Arrow (Fire) Skill when it attacks you.
Dragon Cannon and Dragon Cannon are some of the Dragon Attacks that it will use from time to time but you should look out for Draconic Breath.
Draconic Breath allows Elphidran to unleash a continuous burst of Dragon damage the longer you are within the area of effect. (Similar to Ignis Breath)
Its Exclusive Attack (Mystic Whirlwind) sends out two whirlwinds that are known to track its targets but these can be evaded with a proper dodge.
Keeping your distance from Elphidran can help you avoid some of its attacks and will make it easy for you to avoid taking too much damage from Draconic Breath.
Being a Dragon Pal, Elphidran will take increased damage from Ice Damage while headshots will allow you to deal bonus damage as well.

Verdict
Elphidran is known to be one of the tougher Pal Field Bosses that you will encounter since it will be Level 30 when you find it.
This makes it a little more difficult than the other Field Bosses that you encounter, which makes it important that the gap between you and Elphidran should be as small as possible.
Defeating or capturing Elphidran offers a good amount of experience along with the different items you can get from it.
