When it comes to ranged weapons, everyone knows that bows are a primitive yet effective way to take out your enemies from afar.
Crafting them however requires you to have the right materials, which is where Fiber comes in since it is one of the requirements to make such weapons.
Fiber and Wood are often farmed together but when it comes to getting this resource on its own, you can resort to various methods.
How To Get Fiber?
1) Defeating Pals
Fiber is mainly obtained by chopping down trees as this not only gets you Wood but also gets you this resource at the same time.
This is one of the guaranteed ways to get Fiber regardless of its low quantity, you will eventually have a lot if you have been farming wood.
Another way to get Fiber is to defeat certain enemies as there are Pals that tend to drop Fiber once you have taken them out. (Hoocrates tend to drop a lot of Fiber and this can be farmed early)
2) Processing in Crusher (Also With Refrigerated Crusher)
Fiber is mainly obtained from trees and if you have a good supply of Wood, you can utilize the extra stock of this material that you have to make Fiber.
Fiber can be produced in a Crusher or Refrigerated Crush and will require 1 Wood for every 2 Fiber that is created.
This is a good way to utilize the extra Wood that you get, especially if you have a Logging Site where Pals are assigned to gather Wood.

- Hangyu (5-10)
- Hangyu Cryst (5-10)
- Hoocrates (5-10)
Best Way To Get Fiber
A good way to get a lot of Fiber is to make sure that at least one of your bases has a Logging Site and usually this is built along with other material production sites.
Make sure you have a Crusher in your base as well since this is often used to process Stone if you have a Stone Pit in the same base.
Pals that have the Lumbering work skill will gather Wood for you from the Logging Site, which you can later use to produce Fiber at the Crusher.
Fiber Uses
Fiber is used for crafting many of the different types of bows in the game and is also used for other items that appear to need strings/ropes crafted.
This includes Bows, Beds, Repair Kits, Makeshift Handguns, and more of the items that you eventually unlock as you level up.
You will often have to craft most of the equipment just once and repair them with fiber and other materials used to initially craft them.
Verdict
It is good to keep a lot of Fiber aside as you will need it often when it comes to making repairs to some of your equipment as well as crafting Repair Kits.
Chopping Down trees is one of the most efficient ways for you to get Fiber since trees are abundant almost anywhere you go.
The Logging Site that allows you to farm endless Wood does not generate Fiber, which makes it necessary for you to get it on your own.
