The Adamantine Forge is a location in Grymforge, which can be found beyond the Ancient Forge (Referred to as the Abandoned Refuge) and is related to The Adamantine Forge quest.
Making your way to the Adamantine Forge may prove to be a slight challenge but the reward includes being able to craft powerful equipment.
Starting in the Underdark, the path heading to the Adamantine Forge is a straight one as long as you know where to go once you are in Grymforge.
How To Get To Adamantine Forge?
To put things simply, the journey to the Adamantine Forge is done by arriving in the Underdark, taking a boat to Grymforge, and climbing your way to the Ancient Forge.
1) Enter The Underdark
Before you can make your way to the Grymforge, you will need to first make your way to the Underdark and this can be done in several ways.
You may reach the Underdark through the following ways:
- Defiled Temple – Leads you to Selunite Outpost
- Zhentarim Hideout – Leads you to Storehouse
- Overgrown Tunnel – Mushroom Circle teleports you to Torchstalk Gulch
- Whispering Depths – Large hole lets you drop down into the Underdark (Use Feather Fall to avoid dying)
2) Take A Boat To Grymforge
Once you are in the Underdark, you will need to find the Underdark Duergar Boat that is in the Underdark Beach.
You may interact with the Duergar Boat and this will take you to Grymforge but be careful, Duergar will be on another boat as well as within the Grymforge.
The approach you take depends on your preference as you can fight your way through or convince them that you are an ally along the way.
3) Head To Ancient Forge (Abandoned Refuge)
Upon arriving at Grymforge, your first task is often to help out with the cave-in, which is where True Soul Nere is trapped.
Before or after your business with Nere, the Duergar, and Gnomes, you will be able to see the Ancient Forge nearby past the area where the cave-in is located.
All you need to do from here is find a way to get around, which can be done in multiple ways once you start exploring.
How To Reach Ancient Forge? (Abandoned Refuge)
Starting from the room where there is a cave-in, make your way north to the location where you find Brithvar and Stoneguard Kur.
There will be a path to the side that you can take, which requires you to jump across and make your way to the top to find two levers.
The levers control a lift that you can access by going to several locations to get on top of a bridge that should connect with the Ancient Forge area.
You can decide to utilize the lift by having one member get on it while the others stay at the levers to move it closer to the other side.
Another way to get to the Ancient Forge would be to jump down from the lever area to the side, which is where you will find the Splint Mould.
After reaching the Ancient Forge, there will be a waypoint that you can unlock and this can be used to teleport the rest of your party there.
The Adamantine Forge will be down a path from the Ancient Forge (Abandoned Refuge) and once you reach it, you can start forging equipment if you have the materials needed.
Verdict
Finding the Adamantine Forge may be a bit tricky at first but once you start exploring Grymforge, you will find out that there are multiple paths that you can take to get from one place to another.
As you are exploring Grymforge, you should keep an eye out for the different Moulds that you may find as these are needed when forging equipment at the Adamantine Forge.
Locating the Adamantine Forge gives you the chance to craft two different items since the resources needed are limited.
