Arcane Turrets are a type of Construct that was created by Lenore De Hurst, which was designed to repel any creature daring enough to approach it.

These were created by Lenore De Hurst as a way for her Arcane Tower to have protection from those who would attempt to intrude on her territory.

Destroying these Arcane Turrets is not something you can easily do but there is a way to disable them so that you safely reach the Arcane Tower.

Disabling Arcane Turrets With Sussur Bloom

Sussur Bloom around the Sussur Tree

If you have done a bit of exploring in the Underdark, you may have noticed the Sussur Bloom around the Sussur Tree, which emits an Antimagic Field.

These can be used to disable the Arcane Turrets due to this field that works like an aura, which will shut these turrets down.

Having a Sussur Bloom in your inventory will cause an Arcane Turret to shut down if you approach one or you may throw the flower on top of the turret to deactivate it.

Where To Get Sussur Bloom?

There are 6 Sussur Bloom that can be found in total within the Underdark, and these may be found by exploring or if you are working on quests.

Four of the Sussur Bloom in the Underdark may be found on certain parts of the Sussur Tree as well as near it.

Another two of these flowers can be found at the Arcane Tower Garden, which will require you to find a way to get into it if you plan on taking them.

Keep in mind that Sussur Bloom will only thrive in the Underdark and should they be brought out of the area, they will die.

Other Ways to Get Past Arcane Towers

There are platforms on the side of a path near the Arcane Tower that you can use to get below but it may be necessary to have spells such as Feather Fall ready to avoid taking damage.

Other spells may be used such as Misty Step to allow you to quickly reach a location if you watch where you target the spell.

Becoming invisible will allow you to get past the Arcane Towers but once you are detected after leaving invisibility, you will be attacked.

Verdict

When dealing with the Arcane Towers, it is best if you have one member of your party go ahead of the group to avoid chaos as your characters are likely to be shot.

Using Time-Based Mode is a good way to plan your steps and helps you avoid taking hits from the Arcane Tower until you use up your turn/s.

Sussur Blooms are useful for more than just disabling the Arcane Turrets, which makes it a good idea to get as many as you can along the way.
