Dowry Ring Location & How to Get It in Baldur’s Gate 3

Upon reaching the Waukeen’s Rest, you will find the inn that has been attacked by goblins and upon searching for the Grand Duke.

You stumble upon a man named Benryn who is trapped due to a beam falling on top of him while the fires continue to spread.

Saving Benryn will later lead to you being able to help him find a Dowry Ring, which you can return to him or keep for yourself.

Where To Find Dowry Ring?

The Dowry Ring

The Dowry Ring has been stashed in one of the barns, which you can find near the building where you first found Benryn.

You should be able to find a Haystack in the first barn that you pass and upon interacting with it, a Gilded Chest will be found.

Within the chest are 56 Gold, 1 Malachite, and the Dowry Ring, which is later revealed to be a Ring of Flinging. (Adds 1d4 bonus to throw damage)

Where To Find Mirileth?

After rescuing Benryn, you may decide to leave him out or have him escape on his own, which will determine if you can help him out with the Dowry Ring.

Once you escape through the broken door (not the one you destroyed to get inside), you will find Mirileth dead on the ground.

Speaking to Benryn will reveal that they fought about a Dowry Ring, and you may help him by finding it and returning it to him.

Should You Return the Dowry Ring?

Returning the Dowry Ring to Benryn will complete the Rescue the Trapped Man quest, which is started once you are near him. (Before you rescue him)

This does not provide you with any rewards but is merely something that may sate your conscience if you return the ring to Benryn.

You can of course keep the Dowry Ring as it can be useful for characters who often throw objects at enemies or may sell it for Gold.

Verdict

Saving Benryn will eventually allow you to find Mirelith if you pass through the exit where you found him instead of going down the stairs.

Keep your distance when destroying the doors in the building as an explosion will send your party flying if you are too close.

Benryn believes that Mirileth’s death is his fault due to their fight about the Dowry Ring and it is uncertain whether he intends to deliver it or keep it for himself afterward.
