As you move your way from Act I to Act II, you will be on a journey that leads you through the Underdark as you search for a cure.
This requires that you first find this underground land and there is more than one way for you to get inside depending on which path you want to take.
Within the Underdark are multiple areas as well but before you can explore them, figuring out where this underground area must be done first.
All Underdark Entrances
1) Defiled Temple (Shattered Sanctum)
One of the earliest ways to get into the Underdark is to go into the Defiled Temple, which can be accessed by being led by Priestess Gut or by lockpicking your way through her room.
After Priestess Gut has been dealt with (as well as the Ogre named Polma) with or without the help of Korilla’s help, you can continue making your way to the Puzzle Room.
You can either solve the puzzle or look for the lever nearby that can be unlocked and activated to open the path to the Selunite Outpost in the Underdark.
2) Zhentarim Hideout (Waukeen’s Rest)
If you have reached Waukeen’s Rest, you will find that the place has been attacked and if you head to the storehouse by the barn, you will find its entrances are barricaded by crates.
Move or destroy the crates and you will find a man named Salazon inside who is about to attack you, but this can be avoided by speaking to him, resulting in him letting you pass.
Passing the right ability check will allow you to get the key to the Zhentarim Hideout, which you can enter after passing an ability check and may find an elevator entrance to the Underdark within.
3) Overgrown Tunnel (Riverside Teahouse)
If you remember the path that you took when going to fight Auntie Ethel where Mayrina is trapped in a cage, there is a secret path to the side that leads to a door.
To see behind the door, you will need to wear a Whispering Mask (best done after defeating Auntie Ethel) to reveal the way past it.
Continue from there and you will reach a Mushroom Circle that will take you to Torchstalk Gulch in the Underdark.
4) Whispering Depths (Large Hole)

The Whispering Depths is one of the locations that may be used to access the Underdark and get into this cave system.
Reaching the Whispering Depths can be done in many ways through the Blighted Village and one of the easiest ways is going down the well.
From the Whispering Depths, you can make your way to the Underdark by jumping down the large hole but make sure to cast the Feather Fall Spell or you will fall to your death.

The Underdark is a dangerous area, and it would be wise to finish as many quests as possible before you make your way down there.
Eventually, you may want to visit all the entrances in the Underdark as there is a lot to explore and a lot of loot to be found.
