While in the Shattered Sanctum, you may wind up exploring too much or maybe lured by Priestess Gut and may find yourself in the Spider Pit.
This can end up with you being trapped until you figure a way out and to make things worse, there are some hungry spiders in the pit waiting for their next meal.
This however doesn’t mean you will be food for the spiders as you can escape the Spider Pit and continue exploring the Shattered Sanctum without issues.
How Do You Get Into The Spider Pit?
You will often end up in the Spider Pit if you are accidentally pushed or jump down from the Shattered Sanctum but Priestess Gut can also get you there.
If you happen to go along with Priestess Gut after she claims to be able to remove the tadpole and drink the potion that puts you to sleep, you will find yourself imprisoned.
Choosing to break free from the chains or to dislocate your hand to escape will allow you to move freely in the cell with the door open.
Destroying the weak floor where you are standing will either make you fall into the path to the Spider Pit or you may jump down.
The only way out will be through the gate leading to the Spider Pit, which is controlled by a lever near the gate and its guards.
How To Get Out of Spider Pit?
You can escape the Spider Pit on your own by sneaking past the spiders and shooting the lever to force the gate open.
This will allow you to exit the gate, but the spiders will now be free although they will remain in their position unless provided.
It is possible to speak to the spiders before attempting to make your escape, which will cause them to attack the goblins if you have interacted with them.
Teaming Up With Spiders
If you encounter the two spiders, they won’t be hostile right away and this gives you a chance to befriend them.
After a short cutscene where you need to pass the Animal Handling Check, the spiders will head to the gate if it is opened.
Should you speak to the spiders and open the gate afterward, speaking to the spiders will cause them to attack the goblins after they pass the gate.
Verdict
Getting stuck in the Spider Pit does not happen that often as players often get freed with a little help from Korilla if you have already run into Raphael.
If you manage to get stuck in the Spider Cave, all you need to do is shoot the lever and stay out of the way to avoid getting into trouble.
Should you be spotted attacking the lever, you can always talk your way out of trouble or end up fighting the goblins in the Shattered Sanctum.
