To get the dagger out of the chunk of meat, you will first need to interact with it and this will prompt a cutscene where you need to pass one of the available Ability Checks.
A successful attempt will allow you to obtain the dagger and it will go straight into the inventory of whoever took it out of the meat.
If you happen to fail the Ability Check, the dagger will end up breaking and you will need to reload to try again or proceed without it. (Quicksave recommended)
