One of the creepiest Field Bosses that you may come across in Marsh Island is the Grintale Field Boss, which appears as a large cat Pal.
This is a Level 17 Neutral type Pal that has the title Marshmallow Body and acts as a more powerful version of the Grintale Pal.
Defeating this boss with its crazy glowing eyes can provide you with experience along with various Field Boss materials that can be useful later.
Grintale Location
Grintale can be found around Marsh Island just to the northwest of the Marsh Island Church Remains waypoint or southwest of the Natural Bridge waypoint.
While Grintale is known to be a creature that spawns at night, this Field Boss can be found at any time at its spawn location at (356, -246) on Marsh Island.
Fighting Grintale, Marshmallow Body
Once you reach Grintale’s spawn location, you will easily be able to see this large Pal as it will be walking around with a huge smile on its face.
This Field Boss will only attack you if you strike it first and once it becomes aggressive, its eyes will glow and it will continuously attack you.
Regardless of being a Neutral Pal, Grintale will have the Sand Blast (Ground) Skill, which releases a projectile at you that deals Ground Damage.
It will have the Power Shot Skill (Neutral) as well and this can sometimes be hard to avoid but dodging still does the trick.
Watch out for Grintale’s signature attack called Cat Pres, which causes it to leap into the air after grinning for a short duration where it slams the ground to deal Neutral Damage.
Grintale Field Boss Drops
Once you have dealt enough damage to Grintale and have defeated or captured this Field Boss, you can get the following items.
- Ancient Civilization Parts
- High Quality Pal Oil
- Precious Pelt
Additionally, you can sometimes get a Level 1 Accessory for defeating Grintale, such as the Ring of Resistance.
Verdict
Grintale’s weak spot is mainly its face and dealing direct damage straight towards it will often allow you to dish in extra damage.
Using Dark Damage against Grintale will allow you to easily defeat it or weaken it enough to capture it with a sphere.
This Field Boss moves around slowly, which should give you enough time to keep your distance from it so you can avoid its attacks.
