Tomatoes are one of the consumables that you can grow at your base, but this can be done, you will need to find the seeds to start your plantation.
While this resource has the same Nutrition that is provided by Red Berries, you can use Tomatoes to cook different types of food instead of eating them raw.
Eventually, having a lot of these will allow you to either save them for cooking or provide you with something extra to munch on when you or your Pals are hungry.
How To Get Tomato?
1) Tomato Plantations
Finding a Tomato or two is not something that will happen often and instead, your best bet when it comes to farming tomatoes is to make a Tomato Plantation.
This becomes available for unlocking once you hit Level 32 and building it will require Tomato Seeds along with other materials.
Once a Tomato Plantation has been built, it will require Tomato Seeds for you to plant and the whole process of planting, watering, and harvesting can be done by your Pals.
While this can be done manually, it’s better to let your Pals do the work for you as they will also store the Tomatoes once they have been harvested.
2) Purchasing Tomatoes From Wandering Merchants
Tomatoes may be purchased for 150 Gold from Wandering Merchants for 150 Gold per piece but this wouldn’t be the best way to get Tomatoes as it can be costly.
Instead, you can visit the Wandering Merchant at Fisherman’s Point on Obsidian Island and purchase Tomato Seeds for 200 Gold to use for building a Plantation.
Tomato Seeds may also drop from certain Pals such as Broncherry, Dinossom Lux, Mossanda, Vaelet, and Wumpo Botan.
How To Get Tomato Seeds?
Tomato Seeds can drop from various Grass-Type Pals, but it is important to watch out for which ones you hunt since not all drop them.
A good example of Pals that drop Tomato Seeds are Vaelet and Broncherry as these can easily be defeated or captured.
Once you have enough Tomato Seeds, you can build a Tomato Plantation, and this will eventually generate an unlimited supply of Tomatoes and Tomato Seeds if it is tended to.
Tomato Uses
Tomatoes provide the same amount of Nutrition that Red Berries do but consuming is not the only thing that they are good for.
This consumable is also an ingredient that can be used later once you have unlocked more recipes by building a Cooking Pot.
