Prixter is a Dark and Ground Pal that possesses a unique ability that makes it easier for cave explorers to progress through dungeons. (Added to game with Sakurajima Update)
This Pal is capable of utilizing both Dark and Ground attacks, making it strong against both Neutral and Electric Pals based on what attacks it uses.
When in battle, Prixter is known to quickly leap toward its prey to attack them with its Pincers when it is not using its ranged attacks.
Prixter Location
Prixter was introduced along with Sakurajima and can only be found roaming the northern parts of this island.
You will find Prixter will often be roaming in groups of 2 to 3 around the Northern Rock Field in Sakurajima.

Since Prixter can only be found at higher levels on Sakurajima, you may want to consider breeding to get this Pal earlier in the game.

Prixter Uses
Prixter may have a few suitable Work Skills, especially when it comes to gathering Wood but is better off as a Pal that accompanies you in a fight.
With a combination of Dark and Ground attacks, you can choose to use one damage type or stick with both of them.
Prixter is an excellent Pal to have when you are exploring caves as it can speed up your runs by pointing you to the exit.
Partner Skill
Prixter has the Scorpion Sonar Partner Skill, which can be activated to make the Pal analyze airborne particles to find the exit of the dungeon you are in.
Once activated, Scorpion Sonar will cause Prixter to visibly unleash a sonar wave that expands, resulting in the dungeon exit being found.
You will be able to see where the dungeon exit is as it will be marked on your radar, which will help you figure out which direction to head to in the cave.

Verdict
Prixter are often sought out to be used in cave exploration since they can help you find out which direction leads to the exit, which of course brings you to the boss.
This Dark and Ground Pal can be quite versatile, being quick and having lots of Active Skills that you can have it use.
While Prixter can be useful in cave exploration, keeping one at your base is a good way to collect Wood if there are trees or if you have built a Logging Site.
