Katress is a Dark Pal that bears a resemblance to what appears as a humanoid fox-like creature that harnesses dark magic.
This Pal is not to be taken lightly though as it possesses a range of Dark Attacks that can be deadly to those who are below this Pal’s level.
Katress is often seen using both Dark and Fire Active Skills, which makes it useful against certain types of Pals.
Katress Location
Katress is nocturnal, which makes it only possible to encounter it during the night and this will often be around the Moonless Shore and Verdant Brook.
- Moonless Shore
- Verdant Brook
Katress Uses
Katress mainly functions as both a helper at your base as well as a fighter when added to your party, which mainly depends on your preferences.
When at a base, Katress is well known for being able to produce medicine better than other Pals when you have any queued for crafting.
Katress is a good Pal to have summoned when you are farming items from Neutral Pals as they will tend to give you more loot.
Partner Skill
Katress has the Grimoire Collector Partner Skill, which becomes active once you have summoned and are fighting alongside each other.
Grimoire Collector causes Neutral Pals to drop more items when you defeat them as long as Katress has been summoned.
This makes it easy to farm specific items from any Neutral Pal that you encounter, making Katress a good farming companion.
Work Suitability
When there are structures that need to be built or items that need to be crafted, you can count on Katress to help out and she also does well at medicine workbenches.

Verdict
Since Katress can use both Dark and Fire Attacks, this makes it effective against Neutral as well as Ice and Grass Pals.
Katress becomes stronger as it levels up and capturing it as soon as you can is a great way to get you started on this path.
One of the reasons that Katress is farmed by players is to get Katress Hair, which can be used to make an accessory that mimics her hat. (Ears included)
